Title: I'm looking for someone like this
Contents
Bible: Psalm 8:1-9 Title: We are looking for such a person.
In Psalm 8, God says, “I am looking for such a person. It's like a flyer looking for a missing person. God has lost “man”, the greatest masterpiece of creation. Through Satan's temptation, he lost his original rulership and glory. The purpose of this psalm is to glorify Christ, who is not ashamed to be called a brother, but became a man in order to restore the lost through the true man, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 2:6,7).
The glory of heaven, the beauty of the earth
People are the culprit of all problems. It turns beautiful land, sky, and sea into pollution and trash. Salvation is the restoration of relationships with God, neighbors, and nature. Psalm 8 is a metaphor for “God is heaven and man is earth”. It is a sin to destroy your relationship with God. It is a sin to break the relationship between command and obedience, the relationship of faith, and the relationship of love. God is looking for people so that Jesus Christ, who has a normal relationship with God, can be the new seed of the whole world (Acts 13:23)
who God is looking for
We are people who have lost our original self. Like the three parables in Luke 15, He is looking for the lost son, the silver coin, and the sheep.
1) The power of a child like a baby (2)
He said that unless you are like a child, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3) Relationships with God should not be entangled with complicated interests like adults, but rather a relationship of gentle and humble love like a child. A suckling child has the power to silence the vicious.
2) A person who is a little less than God (angel) (5)
Man was made a little lower than the angels (God). Man was created as a divine being, but he is not God. It means that you are like a god. In the end times, people will become a little less than the devil. (2 Timothy 3:1-4) Self-love, love of money, pride, pride, disobedience to parents, ungodliness, ungodliness, heartlessness, unresolved complaints, accusations He is uncontrollable, ferocious, hates the good, betrays, sells, sleeps, hastily, loves pleasures more than God.
3) A person crowned with glory and honor (5)
Man's glory and honor are revealed by the presence of the Spirit of God. A person with Christ as our head and the indwelling Holy Spirit is a noble person whom even angels envy. We are looking for a glorious person who reflects God's glory and holiness as a royal priesthood given the authority of God's vicarious rulership.
4) The person who rules all things (6-8)
Man was appointed as God's vicarious ruler, and he made him rule over all things. If you gain the whole world and lose yourself, it is of no use. I am looking for someone like a king who rules me and the world with the power of your name.
jesus christ and me
Those who possess the four things that God is looking for cannot be found in the descendants of Adam. Jesus Christ is the only true person God is looking for. It is called the second Adam. Like the Trojan Horse in Greek war history, Jesus Christ came into the human world, destroying the kingdom of Satan and saving people. Being united with Jesus, I became the person God was looking for. He gave the authority to become brothers with Jesus and to those who received him, to become children of God (John 1:12). This is why the name of Jesus our Lord is honorable and glorious. If you are restored to being a true person by calling on the name of the Lord by faith, you will become the glorious and valuable person God is looking for.
