Title: I'm Near, But God!
Contents In the Old Testament, when God worked through the prophets, He revealed His revelations to the prophets mostly through dreams or visions, and then put the word of God in their mouths to convey to the Israelites. The problem, however, was that false prophets were always installed, and God was in trouble. That is the story in today's text.
“I am near, says the Lord, and am not God far away, says the Lord, who can hide himself in a secret place so that he cannot be seen from me? I, the Lord, say, Am I not full of heaven and earth?” What you are saying is that God is not only near God, but also far away. Therefore, God is everywhere in this heaven and earth. But at this time, false prophets appeared and seduced the Israelites by saying, "I have a dream (dream) from the Lord." Therefore, Jehovah God says he will never leave such people alone. "I have heard that the prophets who prophesy lies in my name say that I have gained a dream, I have obtained a dream! How long will the prophets who prophesy lies have this heart? They prophesy the cunning of their hearts! As for the dream, I mean that, as their fathers forgot my name because of Baal, so my people might forget my name.” He said, “I will never leave them alone.”
