Title: I'm Nothing

Contents

I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Sometimes in our lives we do this kind of greeting. "You look very young" is a greeting. In particular, if I were to give this kind of greeting to older people, I would say, “Do I really look young?” in a voice that is so delighted, to the point of asking, “Do I really look young?”

However, I wonder where else can there be such vain words that deceive and fool around like that greeting? This is because a word of greeting that says you look younger does not reduce your age by one year, and you do not actually become younger.

Not only that, but people like it even though it has nothing to do with the facts. In other words, it's a noble lie, but people like it.

Through this greeting, we secretly hope that the passage of time does not appear on our face, and we discover that we do not try to feel the passing of time.

Today is March 2nd, two months after 92 years. And after three days, a warning comes out that a frog that hibernates will come out. Dear saints, I ask that you do not forget the feeling that many years pass when you say that you look young by looking at your face. Even at the moment I cry out to God at dawn right now, time is passing.

As the years pass by like this, how can your face become younger without getting old? But this morning, I don't want to tell you that time goes by so quickly, I want to talk about love.

In fact, in 1992, we struggled to only grow our faith, and we have to confess that there was too little time for us to open our hearts wide and struggle and cry out to nurture love.

On this quiet dawn, let us open our hearts and reflect on ourselves and reflect on the extent to which our own love has grown.

First, I must have the painful feeling that I am nothing without love.

(1) No matter how great things I have done so far, if I do not have love, I am nothing.

Look at verse 2. Even if you have the ability to prophesy, even if you know the mysteries of God that are hidden in all mysteries, and you have mastered all the sciences of the world, you will live in the faith that is the most life and most precious to Christians. Even if I am full of faith that can move me, but without love, without love, I am nothing.

That's right. No matter how great you are, you are nothing without love.

(2) Even if a woman married and lived with her husband and a man married and lived with a woman for more than 50 years, if I do not have love, I am of no use.

Look at verse 3 in the text. {If I give alms with all that I have and give my body to be set on fire, but without love, it is of no use to me.}

We are saints as beings who live in the world, seeking benefits that are not greedy. But when the people of the world see him, he said that even if he is good at giving and giving himself up to the point of being immortal, but without love, it is of no use to me.

This means that a person without love means that he or she is nothing toward others, and that a person without love is living a useless life with no benefit for himself.

Next, we need to realize that love is a matter of the heart, not the content to be thought of as a matter of language.

People are born because they love, live together with love, and go to the arms of God who is love. Therefore, a person's character can be evaluated in one aspect of love.

However, this precious love is not a matter of language, but an action of the heart. The Christian cry of love requires us to take our clothes off and put them on before our lips say {My friend, why are you so cold. Dress warmly} to the naked.

The Lord said that even if we force ourselves to walk 5 miles, we must have a generous love that will accompany you up to 10 miles and give even outerwear to those who want underwear (Matthew 5:38-42).

In this respect, the Thessalonian church was a well-known church. (1 Thessalonians 1:6-8) The Thessalonian church had faith that worked even though it had faith, and had the hope of persevering until the hope was fulfilled, Paul commends that the church has become a famous church because it has not only had the easy love of words, but also the hard work of love that puts the effort into putting it into practice. (1 Thessalonians 1:2-4)

Among the animals we keep, the dog is the most obedient to humans, and when he says "I hate you" to this dog and pets it, he wags his tail saying it's nice to be petted, but if he pats him while saying "I love you" loudly, the dog is the owner of the dog. They say they ask

That's right. It sounds like a funny story, but it is a lesson that cannot be passed over with laughter. Like this, love is never a problem to be thought of only as an expression of language, but a problem that should be considered most seriously as a problem of the heart.

Dear saints,

Do you truly love the Lord and this church?

Do you truly love the servant of the Lord who leads this church?

Can you say that you truly love Joe and Territory?

Can you be confident that you truly love your wife, your husband, your children, and your parents and family?

Can we say that we truly love the Lord, even for just one day on a Sunday, when we are stingy to live for the Lord in the Lord's temple?

Let's repent of ourselves who prayed loudly enough to part the morning air in order to increase our faith.

So, I hope that you will become saints who love each other passionately and live.

Finally, we need to realize that for things without love, judgment takes place within itself.

No matter how much money you make, no matter how much wealth you accumulate, if you lose love, you are already a failure in your life. Because success without love is only loneliness.

As if there is a blessing received without prayer, it is no different from saying that the blessing is not a blessing. Because blessings without prayer do not last long.

So, in Revelation 2, the church in Ephesus is warned to restore the first love. The church in Ephesus was truly a beautiful church. Their good deeds, their toil according to God's will, and their perseverance in tribulation and persecution was truly amazing.

That's not all. These were the saints who did not tolerate the evil ones and made a great contribution to testing the false apostles to know that they were hypocrites and false apostles, and they were those who endured persecution for the sake of the Lord's name.

Yet they were rebuked. They have really good faith and are blameless, but the Lord rebuked them. Why? It was only because the first love grew cold. So the Lord urged us to repent quickly and do the first deeds, thinking about where our first love fell.

Is the love in your heart colder than when you first believed it? I hope that you will think about when, where, and why your love has cooled down and find that lost first love by turning on the lights and sweeping the room like a woman who has lost ten drachmas. If you can find it, you will be so happy that you want to invite a large number of people to a feast (Luke 15:8-10).

Why has this era become an era of dizzying, complicated, and easily tiring even though it is an era of scientific civilization that is good to live in? It's because love, the lubricant of our lives, is fading away.

The Lord pointed out that one fact that is characteristic of the last days is that love grows cold. (Matthew 24:12) Without love, people do not know how tired they are to deal with people. It is said that even with a 3-bed bed, if a couple has love, they can sleep together, but even with a 30-bed bed, if there is no love, the bed is too small for a couple to sleep together.

Therefore, I believe that we should all realize that if we have faith and no love, that faith is nothing but a virtuous faith.

In conclusion, I would like to close by giving an example.

In the Talmud, which means {great study}, this story is found. Someone was living there. He had three friends, and he had a friend who was so close that he couldn't bear to see him even for a day, a friend who was just shy wherever he met, and a friend who was neither pleasant nor pleasant to meet.

But one day, the king ordered him to enter the palace. He was afraid. It was because the king felt there was no reason to call him for no reason, and he was terrified by the guilt of the life he had lived for nothing.

So he went to his friend and asked him to accompany him. He went to his best friend and asked him to accompany him. If he asked about his sins, he asked him to represent him as a person who has never sinned and lives a good life.

But he refused at all. This time I went to visit my second best friend. This friend said that he could accompany him to the palace gate, but he could not enter the palace. Now he was forced to visit an unwelcome friend. He went to see him without expecting anything, as he was a friend who was not as good as he thought.

But what happened? He said that he would not only consent to his leaving, but he would not hesitate to represent his innocence.

Thus, he was able to enter the palace with an unwelcome friend and boldly meet the king.

This story does not end here, but ends by reinterpreting this story. The friend you can't see for a day is a friend called {money}, which is really necessary when you need it, but when you reach the end of death, you will never be with me. Friends who say they are just shy are {family or relatives} who follow me to the grave and cry when I die, but the lesson is that we can't be together anymore. Lastly, an unwelcome friend is sometimes annoying and sometimes pleasant while living in this world. I'm talking about a friend called {love}.

This friend of love will follow you even when you reach the kingdom of God.

That's right.

Faith, hope, love, these three things will always exist, but among them, love is the most important (1 Corinthians 13:13).

We all cultivate this kind of love in our hearts, so don't become nothing to others and live a life that is worthless, meaningless, and useful for yourself and anyone I hope you have a blessed 92 years of living as an existence.
