Title: I am hidden/Colossians 3:3
Content I am hidden/Colossians 3:3
Key Verse: “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (verse 3).
Word: Today's Word has a great meaning for us. Even though it is in space, shall we read today's sermon in a loud voice slowly? “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”
I recently gave my wife an inexpensive pearl necklace. I can't see it very well. Although it wasn't that expensive, my wife hid the necklace deep in a treasure chest. It means that God has hidden us with Jesus Christ.
Sometimes we live as if we are dead. Sometimes frustrated, sometimes depressed, sometimes rejected, lonely and sad. That is why I often feel that the life, glory, and power of Christ are invisible to me. Because in Christ my life is hidden with Christ.
In today's text, it says, 'You are dead'. I'm dead. My old man is dead. That is why, when I try to find my old self, to find my physical life, or to search for my self, it is invisible. You can't see it because it's dead. When you try to find it, you feel sadness, frustration, and despair. Don't look for it. Find the life hidden within us, hidden with Christ.
Don't look for the dead, look for my hidden life. My wife takes out the pearl necklace I gave her and sometimes wears it around her neck. When I see it, I am very happy and it is beautiful. Likewise, God sometimes brings us out. Of course, on the day Jesus comes, He will completely transform you into a body of glory. Then the hidden life within us will be fully revealed. Until then, think of what has been hidden. Apply the truth of this verse in many places. Apply it to your children as well. When we see our children, they are the object of concern and worry because they are imperfect, immature, and lacking. But consider that in him the life of Christ is hidden with Christ. So one day it will be fully revealed. Look forward to it. It becomes faith and hope. Meditate deeply on the hidden word.
Prayer: Loving Heavenly Father, help us to see with our spirit eyes the life of Christ hidden within us. And let us see it and be convinced and rejoice in it. Help me not to seek the old, but to find the new, to find a new life, and to experience the glory and power of that new life Help us to see the life of Christ hidden in our children, our friends, and our neighbors. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
