I am the living bread / John 6:51

Word: What does the bread of Jesus Christ mean in today's text? First, the bread of Jesus Christ is 'universal'. Anyone can eat the bread of Jesus Christ and enjoy eternal life. Anyone can eat the bread of Jesus Christ at the communion table. There is no discrimination between men and women, no age discrimination, no occupational discrimination, and there is no relationship between social status. There are no restrictions on the bread of Jesus.
Second, the bread of Jesus Christ is ‘personal’. When we share bread, we all become children of God, friends of Jesus, and one family with Jesus. Noah's ark contained pairs of males and females of every animal. They were all safe, not because of their merits, but because they were in the ark. Know that God's love for each of you is special, and I hope you live in a strong personal relationship with Jesus.
Fourth, it means that the bread of Jesus Christ should be 'distributed'. Just as we, who were born with life from our parents, instinctively want to see our descendants, those who have eaten the bread of Christ's life instinctively want to share it. Those who know the taste of bread should be able to live while sharing everything they have received from Jesus with joy.
Prayer: Help me to become a saint who can share the bread of life with joy. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
