Title: I am the Lord your God, Laura
Exodus 6:2-8
I am the LORD your God, Laura
People have names by which they are called. One has a name that is unilaterally made and called by parents regardless of their own intentions. This name is the name that goes up in all public places and papers, whether I like it or not. Another is that I have a name that is called because of a certain characteristic I have. It is called a nickname. This nickname can be my strength and sometimes my weakness. So, I think it's very important to have a nickname.
There is another name called. This is the name people call me when they see my life. That person is a good person. That person is a bad person. That person is a beautiful person. It means you are a dirty person. This name is quite important. Because of his name, he is respected and pointed at by people. People bring flowers and spit on them. How many politicians have been spit on? However, there are many teachers and public officials who have not excelled in their careers, but have been praised and received bouquets of flowers from the people.
What kind of person do I want to be called when I finish my work and retire? No, when we leave this world, what kind of person do I want to be called when the people who come to visit me call me? I want you guys to be called by really beautiful names. I hope to be called by a nostalgic name.
Those who have died in our church are buried in the Garden of Resurrection in Ochang. When I go there for a funeral, I hear people passing by, looking at the tombstones and saying word by word. And then I think. I don't know if I'll come here someday, but how will people call me after I leave? I have the idea of leaving a beautiful name. May your name remain a beautiful name even after you are gone.
There is another name called. There is a name that God calls me while looking at me. In the Bible, there are names that God has called His servants. Somebody is righteous. Somebody is a faithful person. anyone is my friend Anyone who agrees with my heart. These are the names God has called. To Noah, to Moses, to David. Dear Aburaham, I have a name that God calls me today while looking at me. A beautiful name may be called a beloved name, a proud name. May you be called by a blessed name. Those names are those that are received by faith. How much do you believe in God? How much do you trust? That's when God calls me. You call on my name; you are after my heart. name you can hear. In today's text, God reveals His name to those who do not trust Him.
Verse 2 God spoke to Moses, saying, I am the LORD. Israel is tired of life as a prisoner of war in Egypt. God called Moses and told him to save the people of Israel. Believing this, he went to Pharaoh and told God to let my people go. Moses may have thought that Pharaoh would send him right away if he said this. But what is this? Far from sending Pharaoh right away, he made Israel even more miserable. How difficult is it to make bricks without even giving them straw to make them? All the people are the original people. When this happens, we become discouraged. I worry. I feel like giving up. If you believe in Jesus and obey Him well, good things should happen, but more difficult things will happen.
