Bible Text: John 14:6
i am the way
A little girl is lost in London, England. He doesn't know where his home is or his phone number. I took him to the police box, but he just cried out loud. He had lost his way home. The policeman calmed the crying child and asked. What do you have near your house? I asked you to tell me what you know and the name of a place close to your house. The girl raised her head and said, “Charing cross. If you take me there, I can go to my house.” Charing Cross is a reference point in London, England. It is the geographic center of London that serves as a direction guide for the lost.
Jesus is the way. “I am the way,” he said. In other words, he is Charing Cross. If you only go to Jesus, you can go to success, reach your goal, and go to God through Jesus.
Jesus is the way to success.
“There are many ways to failure, but only one way to success,” said Aristo Telles. Some are successful in business and some are successful politically. But that doesn't mean that life was successful. Jesus is the way to success in life.
“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6). People said that you and me are all like sheep. Sheep are timid, dull and foolish cattle. Especially poor eyesight. Myopia is the inability to see more than 10 meters. Humans don't know what's going to happen tonight. A sheep does not know where it is going unless someone leads it in front of it. They seem smart and capable, but they don't know where to go.
A female junior high school student in Japan tried to commit suicide, but was unsuccessful. I ran away and became a biker. She worked as a bar hostess before becoming the wife of a gangster. It was an arrow that missed early. His name is Matsuyo Ohira.
One day, my father's friend came to visit me. “It is a waste for a smart person like you to take the wrong path. There are many roads, so why did you enter this way? It is your fault that you throw yourself out there and that you do not go astray.”
Ohira Matsuyo listened to her father's friend. From then on, I studied hard for 7 years. He passed the bar exam. He said he would become a lawyer and lead the youth.
Don't try to fight the person giving you advice. Advice breaks my heart because it applies to me. It is better to accept it with an open mind. It is humility to take counsel, and pride to reject it. God gives grace to the humble.
Jesus is the right way for those who have gone astray to turn and enter. It is the way to success in life. Jesus is the compass of the maze.
A mentor is a leader who leads a person's life with wisdom or trust. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1) David succeeded because he had God as his mentor.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
I want success. What is success? I don't want to say that wealth, fame, power, these are not successes. That in itself is a success. But I don't want to say that's a real success. True success must go beyond that.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). When the soul prospers, all things prosper.
Jesus is the way to the goal.
Jesus is the way to the goal. Helen Keller is blind. When asked what could be worse than being born blind, he replied, “I have sight but no vision.” A person who continues to grow always has a vision. You have an ideal goal you want to achieve. You must have a set goal to generate energy.
Harvard University has research data on the impact of goals on life. As a result of testing people with similar IQs, educational backgrounds, and the environment they grew up in, we found a surprising fact.
27% of people have no goals, 60% have fuzzy goals, 10% have goals but are relatively short-term, and only 3% have clear goals.
Targeted 3%, they became top figures in society 25 years later. Most of them were influential in leading positions in society.
Those with short-term goals of 10% mostly stayed in the middle class of society. They broke short-term goals into several batches and built a stable foundation for living. Their occupations were doctors, lawyers, architects, and entrepreneurs.
The fuzzy 60% remained mostly in the lower middle class of society. I had a stable life, but I was lagging behind 10% of people.
What we need to notice is that 27% of people have no goals. They were living on the lowest standard of living. I was living with repeated employment and unemployment, resenting others and resenting society.
“Not that I have already obtained it, nor that it has been perfected, but I run to seize that for which I was captured by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not yet count that I have taken hold of it, but one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and grasping what is ahead, I run toward the goal for the reward of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:12-14).
Paul had a goal to pursue constantly. I ran for the prize to catch it. A reward is a sign given to praise a job well done. Punishment is the opposite of reward. It's a reward for a job well done.
Jesus makes us do well at whatever we do, achieves our goals, and rewards them.
Jesus is the way to God.
There is a saying that people make books and books make people. To become a person, you have to meet a person. What kind of books do you need to read to become a person and what kind of person can you meet to become a person? One of the books is the Bible. The Bible makes people, and Jesus makes people.
The University of Chicago is called the Nobel Prize Kingdom. The reason is that there are 70 Nobel Prize winners among the alumni and professors of the school. How could that have happened? After Dr. Robert Hutchins became president, it is said that all students were obliged to read 100 classics. It's about meeting great people in the classics and making them great people.
“You study the Scriptures, thinking that you have eternal life in them, but this Scripture is the testimony of me” (John 5:39). The Bible is a book of books and a classic among classics. Only by reading the Bible can you meet Jesus, the protagonist of the Bible, and walk the path of holy life through him.
There is Jesus in the book, and Jesus is the way to God.
“...no one comes to the Father except through me” Jesus is the only way to God. The church is the way to Jesus, and Jesus is the way to God. If you come to church and step into Jesus, you can go to God.
Albert Grace gave a speech on the topic “The Common Denominator of Success” and spoke about the characteristics of successful people. “Successful people have a habit of doing things unsuccessful people hate to do. Of course, they don't want to do that either. However, they overcome it with the power of a sense of purpose and turn 'things they don't want to do' into 'things they want to do'. and arranged it. In order to achieve your dreams, you need to make your ‘must-do’ into ‘want-to-do’.
“Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and many go in by it, and the gate is narrow and stray that leads to life, and few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14)
A road connects two distant points. Jesus connects man and God. It is a road that connects heaven and earth.
To say "go by the way" means "go by the way". There are many roads and many words in the world. To get there you have to go that way, and to get there you have to go that way. To come to God, you must follow Jesus. To get to God, you must listen to the word that tells the way to God.
John the Baptist introduced Jesus to his disciples. John the Baptist was the way that led people to come to Jesus, and Jesus is the only way and life that leads believers to God.
A missionary sent to India left at 3 am with an Indian guide leading the way. I had a place to go, so I went. It was very dark at dawn, covered with clouds. The guide leading in front was wearing black, so I couldn't see very well, so I could barely hear the voice and follow.
The missionary, who had gone for a while, lost his guide. The missionary cried out in fear. Where is the road? The guide replied, “There is no way here. follow me Here I am the way.” In this world, Jesus is the way. Only through that path can you reach the human place.
Jesus is the way to success. I hope you will be successful along the way. Jesus is the way to the goal. I hope you reach your goal through him.
Jesus is the way to God. Let's all go to God through Jesus!
“I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Follow Jesus and your path will be bright. You will surely succeed and be rewarded. You will come to the house of God and share in its glory.
