Title: I Came to Throw Fire
Contents
One of the reasons Jesus came to this earth was to cast fire into the world.
Fire means the fire of God, the fire of the Holy Spirit, and the fire of power.
The early church prayed on the Day of Pentecost and received the fire of the Holy Spirit, and the church began with that grace.
Today, our church must also receive the fire of the Holy Spirit and make a new start as a church-like church.
Let's see what changes come when we receive the fire of the Holy Spirit.
1. Darkness is revealed.
Fire means light. God is light. Jesus said, “I came into the world as light. He who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” The Holy Spirit is also light. When this light shines, darkness is revealed.
We live our lives unaware that we are sinners. However, if you receive the fire of the Holy Spirit, you will see and know how ugly you are. So the history of confession and contrition arises.
2. The dirt will be burned.
Fire serves to burn. Sodom and Gomorrah rained down from heaven and burned them all up. Likewise, when we receive the fire of the Holy Spirit, all the sins that are dirty like our trash cans are burned away. It also burns and destroys sexual immorality, greed, envy, pride, vanity, lies, jealousy, hypocrisy, and pride. So it leads to sanctification.
3. Your heart will become warm.
Fire heats the air. It is also the fire that moves the machine. creates heat hot is
bring change Heat is power and ability. Likewise, when we receive the fire of the Holy Spirit, God's love is poured out in our hearts. passionately love God. Also love the soul.
4. You will testify of the Lord.
The fire spreads. A small flame spreads and burns the whole house, mountain and field. Likewise, when they receive the fire of the Holy Spirit, those who have not been able to keep their faith properly will become influential witnesses of the Lord not only in their families, but also in their neighbors, as well as in the nation and the world.
The difference between the saved and the unsaved is the difference between heaven and hell.
The difference between those who have received the Holy Spirit and those who have not received the Holy Spirit are differences in ability and form.
The difference between those who have been filled with the Holy Spirit and those who have quenched the Holy Spirit is the difference between glory and disgrace.
The life of faith is the life of receiving. You will receive salvation, grace, and the Holy Spirit.
It's not about learning, it's about receiving.
Receive the fire of the Holy Spirit. So, become those who experience the grace of God.
