Sermons for Preaching

Title: I Hug You

Title: I embrace you (Deuteronomy 1:28-33)

In this text, the Israelites are discouraged and trembling with fear at the negative report of the 10 spies.

Where shall we go? Our brethren have discouraged us, saying, Their people are greater than we are, and their cities are great, and their walls reach to the heavens, and there we have seen the children of Anak.

It is heartbreaking to see the Israelites moving forward with only negative thoughts about negative reports. People who do not believe are people who live only with negative thoughts and hear only negative words.

10 The report of the spies was negative: Numbers 13:31 And those who went up with him said, "We cannot go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are." 32 And they criticized the spying land before the children of Israel, saying, "We The land that they went through and spyed out is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people they saw there were of great stature.

Negative people without faith do not believe in the word of God's promises and see that they are trembling in fear of their outward appearance.

Therefore, we must always read, see, memorize, and practice the Word of God. At that time, the negative thoughts recede and faith comes in.

The world judges and moves forward by looking at the colorful buildings, the gorgeous appearance, and the colorful clothes. You lose your true inner essence when you draw.

Matthew 14:25 In the fourth quarter of the night, Jesus came to his disciples walking on the sea. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were astonished and cried out in fear, saying he was a ghost. 27 But Jesus immediately said to him, “Take it easy. Do not be afraid. 28 Peter answered, And he said, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come on the water." 29 Then Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and fell away, and he cried out, "Lord, save me." 31 Jesus said at once He stretched out his hand and took hold of him, saying, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"

Here the wind refers to the world. When Peter saw the world, he was afraid and ran away.

When choosing David, when the prophet Samuel chose Eliab, the first son of Jesse, who was tall and handsome, and was about to anoint him.

1 Samuel 16:7 The LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his countenance or stature; I have forsaken him; I do not look like a man; man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

God will fight for you now, just as the LORD your God, who goes before you, did everything for you in Egypt before your eyes.

God is the God who fights for you even now, just as he overthrew Pharaoh through the death of the firstborn in the last plague.

31 As you suffered in the wilderness, just as a man embraces his son, so the LORD your God embraced you in the way you walked and brought you to this place.

Look, the God who feeds you with manna and quail as you pass through the wilderness and leads you with a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire is the God who embraces you, embraces you, and brings you to this place.

Think of our lives. God has chosen and guided a sinner like me, and He is the God who embraced and embraced us and led us to this point.

Let's sing the Gospel Song 3411 to the main message.

The psalmist confesses, Psalm 121:4 He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

Isaiah 41:10 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and say, O Israel, My way is hidden from the LORD, and my accusation is from my God? 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? He never grows weary, and his understanding knows no bounds; 29 He gives strength to the weary, and he gives strength to the weak; 30 Even young men grow weary and weary, and young men stumble and fall; It will be like flying up with wings, running and not getting weary, walking and not getting weary.

May you realize that our Lord is a God who gives strength to the weary and gives strength to the incompetent.

Whenever David went to war, God was always with him, so he sang victory in battle.

Hymn 351

Those who believe are the soldiers of the Lord / Let's follow the Lord who has gone ahead of us

Hearing the name of Jesus, all enemies and demons are being cast out / Because we are afraid, Hell will tremble when we hear our praise / Brothers, let us sing praises to the Lord.

We sang victory over our leader, Jesus, who died on the cross and rose from the dead three days later. Therefore, we want you to believe that Jesus is the Lord's people fighting a battle that has already been won.

The Lord embraces us today and guides us.

He is the one who goes before you by the way, looking for a place to pitch your tent, and by night with fire and by day with a cloud to show you the way

God embraces us and goes to heaven.
