Title: I Left the Good Things So Far

▒▒ Bible : John 2:1~11
Jesus went to a wedding feast in Cana. Jesus' mother was also there. Jesus was there with his disciples. But the wedding feast ran out of wine. Jesus' mother comes to her son Jesus and says, “The wine has run out.” Jesus says. “Woman, what have you got to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” The mother tells the servants to obey Jesus' command. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the empty stone jars with water.” Then he went and floated it to the one in charge of the feast. The man in charge of the feast tasted the wine made of water and said, “Most people put out the good first, and then the low after they get drunk, but you have saved the good until now.” I say. This is a very important word.
When we serve someone, we do better first than later. Good food comes first, not later. The same goes for alcohol. They serve good drinks first, and then serve worse drinks after getting drunk. Still, people don't know the difference. Because I was already full, and I was already feeling good. This is the world, and this is the world. But today, this wedding feast in Cana where Jesus is present goes beyond our common sense. “I have reserved the best.” From the admiration and admiration, you can tell that the latter was better and tasted better than the first. Jesus was different from the world's standards. Jesus is the One who gives better things over time.
We are now in February 2008. In light of these words, I believe that Jesus will fill the remaining days of February, March, and April with better things than they are now.
There are things we need to think about in order to meet the Lord who gives us better things than we do now. It is about sin. First, the temptation to sin comes to us as good at first. Proverbs 9:17 says, “Stolen water is sweeter, and stolen bread is tastier.” I say. The temptation of sin is so sweet. But the consequences of sin go on to verse 18, “But just as a harlot goes to hell, so he who does so goes down to hell.” It's like a word.
Sin tempts us with joy, good things, and pleasant things. But the temptation to sin does not last long. Adam and Eve are also tempted by Satan to “become like God.” They succumbed to temptation and eat the fruit in the center of the garden. But after eating the fruit, they found each other naked. They blamed each other and started blaming each other. Eventually, they were expelled from the Garden of Eden. We must not forget that although sin initially tempts us with something sweet and good, its consequences lead us to death.
In the face of the temptations of sin, second, we must trust in a God who hates evil. How can the wicked prosper in everything they do, and the righteous do bad in everything they do? How can the wicked die comfortably when they die, and the righteous do not? Asaph did not understand enough to confess that this had nearly slipped his faith. Nevertheless, Asaph seeks God, and after meeting God in the sanctuary, he realizes a new fact. The wicked will eventually perish and go down to Hell. God is faithful. God is living and working. Just because evil is going well in front of you right now, it won't go well until the end. Therefore, we must put our complete trust in God.
The last thing we must remember in the face of the temptation of sin is that the joy of evil is a fleeting joy.
But contrary to this temptation to sin, the fact is that Jesus always gives us good things. Consider the parable of the mustard seed. A mustard seed is a very small, insignificant seed when planted. But when the seed is planted in the ground and grows, it becomes a large tree. It becomes a nest for birds. The cocoons and pupa are not good either. But when it grows, it becomes a beautiful butterfly. Romans 8:19 says, “All creation waits for the appearing of the sons of God, and when the sons of God appear, they will be set free from the slavery of iniquity to the glory of liberty.” It is said that the more time passes, the more the sons of God appear, and the better they give. In this way, the Lord gives us better things.
Ladies and gentlemen, never speed, be patient, wait, and enjoy the better blessings God gives you.
