Title: I like the Word of God Text: Deuteronomy 4:1-8
After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, Israel came to the wilderness of Moab after defeating King Sihon of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan. Moses delivers the final word of God to Israel, who are preparing to enter Canaan in the wilderness of Moab. It is especially important for the Israelites to know who God is, what He said, and what He can do before entering the land of Canaan. They needed to think deeply about the fact that God is the only one before they invaded a land inhabited by foreign gods. Because in order to survive and overcome the adventures and dangers to come, we must look only to God. They will see numerous idols in Canaan. But if you want to conquer and retain the land, you must look to the invisible God. I'm just telling you to listen to him.
1. Because the word of God gives eternal life.
2. The Word of God keeps us attached to God.
Deuteronomy 4:4 The word of God teaches, teaches, and guides us so that we do not depart from God. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” . The Word of God instructs us to live in God as people of God. Sometimes they even rebuke them when they distance themselves from God. It guides you to live right. He keeps us from turning away from God. It sets us up right in God so that God's people can live a perfect life. Therefore, if you do not know the Word, you cannot draw near to God. Hos 4:6 Not knowing the word is the way to ruin, and forgetting the word of God is forgetting God.
3. Because the Word of God is the most precious wisdom and knowledge.
