I will give you rest
(Matthew 11:28-30)
>
(…) God made the heavens and the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Since the Sabbath belongs to the principle of creation order, you cannot expect a blessed life apart from the principle of the Sabbath (…). The meaning of the Sabbath is to stop working and rest. No matter how urgent it is, Sunday should be holy. ㉡Rest is renewing and reviving strength. It has the meaning of gaining strength. ㉢It means to think before God, to be evaluated before God, to ask God’s will once again while drawing close to God’s will and words.(…) In today’s text, “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden . I will give you rest.”(…) These words come to my ears like this.
Leave your luggage on me
(…) Modern people learn a lot, they are cultured and kind, but they have no one to talk to. So modern people are lonely. God tells Abraham to leave the homeland of his relatives and his father's house (...) and go to an unhappy land to share the blessings that flow from God. In order to do that, we have to put down the heavy burdens of the home of our relatives and fathers on the mainland. This is a message to discover the purpose of life in the bosom of the Lord and completely depend on God. Putting down my material problems and even putting down concerns about life and safety. It is a message to lay down the burden of the experience of anticipating the outcome, the heart of sin and judgment, and the burden of resentment, envy, and anger. It is a message to lay down the pride of life, the lust of the eyes, and even the fruits of ministry.
I will give you rest.
(…) Jesus Christ is the shepherd, and we are the sheep. The most important thing to a sheep is the shepherd. If I love and follow the shepherd, he leads me to green pastures, to still waters. If a sheep has a shepherd, everything will be settled. A shepherd makes the sheep rest.(…) Many people today think that all they need is money, but does it really work? It's not like that. You must learn to be with the Lord. As long as I go when the Lord calls, the Lord gives me rest.(…) Please believe that there is a mysterious providence that comes to rest when we give up and humble ourselves.
I will give you the strength to bear it
(…) When people come before Jesus, they can rest. Christ is the cool shade.(…) The Lord takes away all my evil thoughts and wrong things. The Lord takes away all the carbon dioxide gas of resentment, envy, and injustice that we emit. It provides us with good oxygen. He instills love, instills joy, instills peace, and comforts. The Lord is the shade of our trees.
Beloved, in Genesis 29:20, Jacob said that 7 years seemed like a few days. It was an unfortunate time, but Rachel loved 7 years as a few days. It seems like life should be like this. There is meekness and humility in love. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” I hope that you will learn and enjoy the true rest in the Lord. Amen.
