Title: I Will Live Again (John 06:39)
Contents Yesterday I gave you homework, and did you ever trace the three rivers that appeared in Jesus' sermon? In fact, those of you who are quick-moving must have marked them all while listening to yesterday's sermon. Eat, the second, I will rise again, Third-Those who came from God Yesterday I focused more on those who came from God, the third river, and today I will give a speech under the theme of the second river, I will raise you up again. .The order is reversed.
First, find and read the scriptures once again.
39,40,44,54, "I will raise you up" The first warning of God's words to mankind was, "Do not eat from the fruit of the forbidden fruit, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die." Genesis 2:17 This warning given to Adam, the representative of man, is immediately turned into a curse. 3:19 But our text today promises to be liberated from the curse that God has placed on mankind. I will raise you up = You will surely rise again This is what is called the gospel.
It is a declaration of freedom from sin, curse, death, and judgment.
At that time, “I will raise them up again,” the crowds had no choice but to shake their heads after Jesus had finished preaching. Eat the bread of life Those whom God has brought to Jesus will rise again on the last day were words that were difficult to understand.
The apostle John and the disciples who had not left Jesus could not understand in fact. God had held them so that they could not leave.
See 20:1-9.
I was afraid, but Jesus was finally arrested by Judas Iscariot and the Roman soldiers who suddenly came. Then, the trial proceeded quickly and he was crucified along with the two robbers. His limp body was buried in a cave-type tomb that Rich Joseph had prepared for his family in advance, and the door was rolled with a large stone and blocked.
Now what should I do? It seems that an arrest order had also been issued for the disciples who had followed Jesus. John, who was well aware of the power of Jesus, still had his last hope and seemed to have followed Jesus far away during the trial.
If anything goes wrong, they will abandon Jesus, and if Jesus exerts his power with miraculous powers, he seems to have seen an opportunity to stand before him.
At the time of the trial, there were only two disciples, Peter and John himself, who accompanied him to the house of the high priest. However, Peter is restrained in front of the high priest's house. However, John himself testifies in the Gospel of John that he was able to pass through because he knew the high priest well. Then he comes back and tells the waitress who was guarding the door so that Peter can come in too.
At this point, the true John is doubtful. (1) It is about how he got to know the high priest who was always Jesus' enemy (there is no hint of relatives). In fact, after a while his brother James is arrested and killed as the first of his disciples to be martyred.
Some even say that it is evidence that John used the operation to cross his legs in order to succeed. Anyway, this is an embarrassing part. From the high priest's side, then, it would mean that they did not know that John was a disciple of Jesus of Galilee, or, even if they did, they did not know him as an enemy, but as their friend, just as he did to Judas Iscariot. .
(2) Second, when the gatekeeper sees Peter, he argues that you are not his disciple too, but he argues, why did John pass without success?
He had put all the safety measures in place even for the maidservant. Whether he made them unaware of his identity or whether he made it known on his side.
Just like those who believe in Jesus, yet have no hatred or need in the world because of that faith.
Anyway, he stayed near Jerusalem after Jesus was buried in the tomb.
Then, at dawn the next day on the Sabbath, we receive a report from the women who went to the tomb that Jesus' body was missing. Peter and John both run to the tomb. The two of them probably did this to return to their hometown of Galilee if they counted the number of days. It was the Sabbath, so I couldn't go back and I think I stayed in Jerusalem.
The two looked into the empty tomb, unwilling to calm their panting hearts. Find and read 20:8.
It was at that time that John believed in the resurrection of Jesus. It was only when they saw the empty tomb that they remembered and believed the words Jesus said while walking with them.
It was after I believed in the resurrection of Jesus that I realized the words preached in the synagogue that day that I will raise you up on the last day.
As Jesus said, the resurrection from the dead gave us confidence in the words of Jesus who said to John, “I will raise you up again.”
Everyone who believes in the resurrection of Jesus will rise again on the last day.
Jesus is the one who raises those who believe in him.
He will raise the saints from the grave on the last day.
He raises up the fallen saints by holding them back again.
How many times we fall and fall even though we believe, but none of those whom the Father has brought to Jesus will be lost.
For those of you who firmly believe in this, please believe that the Lord's work of setting us free from curses and death already exists.
However, no matter how great the power to save us in the last days, it is not at all greater than the power that has already set us free from the curse of sin and evil. .
To all of you who believe in the resurrection of the Lord, I pray that the power of the Lord's resurrection, which brings you back to life from failure, frustration and despair, will come to you today and tomorrow.
