Title: I Will Make You Very Prosperous
Contents
I will multiply you exceedingly
Genesis 17:6-9
In Genesis 17:6, God repeated this promise to Abraham, 'I will make you exceedingly fruitful' at 12:2, 13:16, 15:5. “As God promised Abraham, please come with the same promise to the beloved saints who participate in worship today!” May the nation prosper! Let the church become a prosperous church! May the families enjoy the blessing of prosperity We prayed with all our heart. We wish all of us to be prosperous, full, and successful while we live in the world. So, what does God mean?
The word ‘prosperity here’ in the original text (1) is the blessing of multiplying, all good things multiply. Bad things have to dry up their roots and disappear without a trace, good things need to multiply.
(2) It means to be prosperous, bear fruit. Just as a farmer expects abundant fruit when planting grain, a parent expects to be good while raising their children, and a merchant wants a lot of income when they open a store, we must bear beautiful fruit abundantly in our religious life. However, the blessing of clothing is not achieved by our upbringing, but by the Holy Spirit, the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are produced. Genesis 17:6 I will multiply you exceedingly "God will multiply you. Then what did God require of Abraham to multiply you exceedingly?
First, be the keepers of God's covenant (verse 9).
“And God said to Abraham, “Therefore, keep my covenant, and keep your descendants from generation to generation.” What God said is a promise, so it will surely come true.
God's covenant is precious to hear, precious to remember and to know, and to make a promise to "I must do that" is precious, but more importantly, it is important to keep it and do it. God told Abraham to keep this covenant, not only for himself, but also for his descendants. If we keep God's covenant, we and my descendants will prosper.
Some people feel burdened by keeping God's Word and want to live freely. Even on Sundays, I want to spend time freely and sometimes I want to do everything my own way. But indulgence is like freedom, but it is an act of self-destruction.
Ex) It is the same as when you want to drive your car freely because it is cumbersome to obey the laws. The way to obey the law is a good way for me to live and for others to live as a result. When Abraham kept God's covenant in this way, God promises again.
Genesis 26:4) “I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give all these lands to your descendants, and in your descendants all the peoples of the world will be blessed. Amen if you wish to be so. How did Abraham live for that to happen?
5) Because Abraham obeyed my words, and kept my commandments, my commandments, my ordinances, and my laws. When we, like Abraham, keep and do God's covenant, we will receive the blessing of being greatly multiplied by God. I believe you will get it.
Second, become one with the Spirit of God (Genesis 1:20-22).
“God said, ‘Let the waters multiply with living things. Let the birds fly above the earth and in the expanse of the heavens.’ And God created the great fish and every living creature that prospered and moved in the water after their kind, and every winged bird after their kind, and God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters of the seas. Let the birds multiply on the earth.’”
It teaches us that in the beginning the earth was chaotic, empty, and deep in darkness, but when the Spirit of God works, there will be prosperity.
Do you have any disease in your body? May the Holy Spirit move and work. Is your business insolvent? I hope that the Holy Spirit will drive you and work on your business. Is your faith sick, weakened, or frustrated?
I believe that when the Holy Spirit of God works in you, your faith will flare up, the powerless will become powerful, and the foolish will become wise. Please believe that the Holy Spirit will restore what you failed in your own strength.
God promised to multiply not only in living things, but also in humans (Genesis 1:28). “God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and subdue it, the fish of the sea and the air. have dominion over the birds of God and every living thing that moves on the earth.” It is not God's will that we become losers and grow weak and weak. I pray in the name of the Lord that by receiving this promise from God today, the church will prosper, all of our businesses will prosper, and you will receive this blessing of growing and prospering in your home
◇Acts 9:31, when the early church was greatly revived, “the churches of all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria were in peace and stood strong, and they proceeded in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and increased in number”
If you look here, you can see that the number of churches increased and the gospel was actively preached through the comfort of the Holy Spirit. All of our work must be carried out with the comfort of the Holy Spirit. If we act according to our human words and thoughts, we are foolish and foolish, and we are bound to fail and fall. However, if our thoughts, words, and actions are guided by the Holy Spirit, please believe that miracles will appear in our hands and feet, and power will appear in our words. Please believe that the Holy Spirit does not fail even if people fail. Therefore, the important thing is to let the Holy Spirit work and proceed.
◇In Romans 8:9, “If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are not in the flesh but in the spirit. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Christ.”
Lord, let me live in the flesh, but live in the Spirit, please
Living in the body means that the body is the center and all things are done by the body,
To dwell in the Spirit means to be possessed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is my everything. The Holy Spirit is the foundation of my life, the Holy Spirit is the wisdom, the Holy Spirit is the energy,
Please believe that the Holy Spirit will work among us with inexhaustible power and lead us to victory. Please pray earnestly from now on.
Third, be an altar builder to the Lord (Genesis 9:1).
Genesis 8:20,21) “And Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took it from all clean animals and from all clean birds and offered it as a burnt offering on the altar; and the LORD smelled its fragrance and said to the center of it, "I will never again see man again." I will not curse the earth because of it.” Here, Noah built an altar to God after the judgment of the flood. At that time, God smelled the fragrance of the sacrifice and promised that it would multiply greatly. (Genesis 9:1) “God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.” Worship Please be happy every time you give. It is a time to receive the blessing of being fruitful and multiplying.
Our worship, praise, and offering, why is this worship important?
It is important because it is worship to God. Worship is a way to draw closer to God. Worship is the moment you meet God, so please believe that it is the most blessed time to receive God's grace. A patient who is ill can feel relieved just to see a doctor. A person who is lost is relieved to find a guide who leads the way well. But how precious is the time of worship when the King of kings, the God of power, the God who gives us eternal life, and the God who is the source of blessings meet those who worship us?
Just as Noah was promised to prosper by building an altar to God, so we too become worshipers in spirit and truth, so that the saints in sickness become healthy, the saints in sorrow and suffering find joy, and the saints in poverty and need wishes you to be wealthy.
Psalm 92:12 The righteous will prosper like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Psalm 92:13 It is planted in the house of the LORD; it shall prosper in the courts of our God.
Psalm 92:14 They will bear fruit in old age; they will be full of sap, and the light will be green.
We are the palm trees and cedars planted in the palace of God after our sins were forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ. Because of this, we must not languish before God. You must not be poor. Instead of being dependent on others, be a helper, not a borrower but a lender, and make many people successful, courageous, and happy because of you.
Dear saints, In the name of Jesus, I pray that you will enjoy the blessing of multiplying like Abraham by keeping God's covenant, following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and living a life of worship in spirit and truth.
“I show kindness to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments” (Exodus 20:6).
