Title: I Will Prosper
Content Title: It will prosper
Bible: 2 Chronicles 20:20-23
The main text is the story of the victory over Moab, Ammon, and Maon, that is, Seir. At that time, Judah was ruled by King Jehoshaphat. However, Moab, Ammon, and Maon united to invade Judah, and Judah was in a crisis like a lamp before the wind. In a crisis, with God's help, it turned into an event of blessing. It records a remarkable victory in which the nation of Judah easily defeated the Allied forces of Moab. At the end of verse 20, the phrase “then you will prosper” means that if you do that, you will be victorious and successful.
First: Trust God.
“And Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, you inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem: trust in the Lord your God, and you will be established; trust in the prophet, and you will prosper” (verse 20). will be Do not be afraid or startled by the Allied Forces of Moab. Jehovah is fighting for you. It is a promise that God will win. Faith is faith in God's promises. Faith comes from hearing. The king who listened to the words of God's prophets is to trust God and trust the prophets who deliver the words. If you believe in God, you will prosper. There is nothing more mysterious in life than faith. Faith is said to have the power to move mountains.
Second: Have a cooperative life.
“He consulted with the people, and chose singers, clothed in holy robes, and walked before the army, praising the Lord, saying, Give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy endures forever” (verse 21). ' is a word derived from Just like making clothes by weaving yarn one by one, it is to make a plan by synthesizing opinions. When the nation of Judah was in crisis, it was counseled to “choose singers, clothed with holy clothing, and walk before the army, to the praise of the Lord” (verse 21). That counsel was an important decision in overcoming the crisis that Judah was facing. What we need today is a discussion that praises God in God and advances in cooperation. When everyone comes together and glorifies God, both the family and the church will follow the will of God and prosper.
Third: Go forth with praise.
“At the beginning of the song and the hymn, the LORD set ambush against the Ammonites, and Moab, and the people of Seir, who came against Judah, and they were defeated” (verse 22). As we discussed and decided, we sang hymns in front of the choir. Songs are expressions of thoughts and feelings. They have had a close relationship with their singing life. Praise brings us closer to our relationship with God. God is where there is praise. If you want to win without fighting, just sing and sing. When we praise God, the enemy will be defeated by God.
