Title: I Will Raise a Prophet Like Me.
Peter continued to explain to the many people who were standing around, quoting Deuteronomy 18:15, "Moses said, "The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers, and whatever you Hear every word! Anyone who does not listen to the prophet will be destroyed from among the people!" After explaining in words, it was to testify that the prophet Moses spoke of was Jesus Christ. So, out of the many people around that day, there were about 5,000 men who heard the sermons of Peter and John and decided to believe in Jesus. Now, this must happen to Christians today as well. Today's Christians think that they will go to heaven without any problem because they are God's only children. This is the same principle as if the Jews thought that they were the only holy people of God and that they could obtain eternal life without any problem.
God sent Jesus who was greater than the prophets to fulfill His words to bring salvation to those who believed in Him. And when all Gentiles, including Christians, believe in the Son and come out, they too will attain eternal life with the Son. But on the contrary, all those who do not believe in him, Christians or unbelievers, will all go to ruin. This is the fulfillment of the word of God that was written in the Bible through Moses in Deuteronomy 18:15. So, once God has accomplished this, the world has no reason to continue any longer.
