Title: I Will Reveal Your Achievement
Title: I Will Reveal My Deeds (1 Corinthians 3:11-15)
After 30 years of work, Michelangelo did not leave his name, although he immortalized the Last Judgment mural on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
All human beings are builders of achievements. However, it depends on where they are built. For the people of the world, it may be riches, honor, and power. But the saints are different. The foundation is Jesus Christ, who died on our behalf and forgave our sins.
10According to the grace of God which has been given to me, I have laid a foundation like a wise builder, and another builds upon it, but let each one be careful how he builds upon it.
As a builder, Paul builds a house on a foundation, but this foundation is the foundation of Jesus Christ. He says that when building a house on this foundation, it must be built with care. Matthew 7:24 “Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and puts them into practice will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 When the rain falls, and the floods come, and the winds blow, they smash against that house, but it does not fall, because the pillars are laid on the rock. ..
This rock is Jesus Christ. Therefore, just as we should build our house on the rock, we should build our house only on the rock.
A house built on this rock is strong. Even if it rains, floods, and the wind blows, it will not collapse. It is a life of obedience to the Word.
However, just as a house built on the wrong foundation easily collapses, all the work that has been built in the world will be destroyed by fire at the time of judgment. Among the saints, those who are weak in faith build power over the things of the world. Paul warns against such people that even if they are saved, they will be harmed.
12If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, or straw, 13 each person's work will be revealed, and the day will reveal his work, which will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test each man's work. Ira
Gold, silver, and precious stones endure in fire. But wood, grass, and straw are temporary things that burn in a fire.
It is said that achievements will be revealed at the Second Coming as our deeds or moral fruits, which will be revealed as fire.
Therefore, by our deeds or our fruits, when the Lord comes again, it appears as fire. 14 If anyone has any work that he has built on it, he will receive a reward, 15 and if anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer harm. it would seem
We must be faithful to the Lord fervently on this earth. Then, at the second coming of the Lord, all of them will appear, and those who are faithful will be rewarded with the crown of life.
1 Corinthians 4:2 “And what we must ask of those entrusted with is fidelity.”
Revelation 3:20b “Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
1 Timothy 3:13 “Those who do well in the office of deacons gain great confidence in a good position and faith in Christ Jesus.”
Dan 12:3 “The wise will shine like the light of the firmament, and the one who turns many to righteousness like the stars forever.
We will be judged according to our achievements on this earth.
Sodom and Gomorrah, where Lot lived, were judged by fire according to their achievements and were destroyed because they could not endure it. His wife was also judged because of not throwing away the world's lusts.
In the same way, if you build up your work on Christ, you will receive a reward, but if you build it on the things of the world, it will be consumed by fire (verses 14, 15).
On that day God will be the judge and will judge the affairs of all. judge, but in his righteousness and fire. On that day God will divide the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:32), and the wheat and the chaff and throw the chaff into the unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12) Likewise, if our building is built on Christ, we will reward it. But if you don't, you will not stand the test and will be crushed and damaged.
The Lord will reveal his achievements at the time of the Second Coming.
We hope that the precious work of rewarding us when the Lord comes again by building incombustible works such as gold, silver and precious stones upon Christ.
