Title: I Will Overcome
After seeing the land of Canaan, the ten spies report desperately that they cannot defeat the descendants of Anak. Because of this, the people fell into despair and riots broke out. But Joshua and Caleb, men of faith, are boldly proclaiming in faith. “Let’s go up and take that land. I am able to overcome.” This is the action a person of faith will take. What are the conditions of victory that we can overcome in our lifetime?
First, change our thinking. Verse 31 says, “We cannot go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” They are already preoccupied with defeatist thoughts. Thoughts matter. But Joshua and Caleb are different. They have a victorious mind. Let's go up and take the land. will be able to win. A positive thought that you can do it can change your life.
Second, you must have faith to win. The ten spies had no faith. We are demonstrating an unbelieving and defeated belief that we cannot claim the land. But Joshua and Caleb went forward with faith, saying that God is pleased with us and we will be able to possess the land (Numbers 14:8). Faith is given to all of us. Use the resources of our faith, the power of our faith
And we must have the dreams and hopes of our hearts. The thoughts the ten had were a defeatist dream. The expectation they had was that we would all die here. If we don't die in Canaan, we will die here (Numbers 14:2-3), but Joshua and Caleb have a beautiful dream and hope for Canaan (Bottom 14:7). It was full.
Finally, you have to change your words. The ten spies gave bad reviews and negative reviews of the land they had discovered. I said it deliberately badly Folks, our language can also become a slave to negative language. Always try to speak positively and try to speak in the language of faith. Because what we say can become what it is (Numbers 14:27-28).
