Title: I Worship
Contents
This is how I worship. / John 4:24
1) The student who is studying does not know how to study and feels embarrassment. No matter how much you study, your grades will not improve. Then you don't want to study.
2) The same goes for those who work and those who do business. If you don't know how to work, you will have no income and no results even if you work. Then you feel frustrated and give up.
3) It is the same with the life of faith. If the worship, which is the most basic of our religious life, is not gracious and not fun, we are afraid that the Sunday will come. When I worship, I can't concentrate and I have other thoughts. In particular, I hate to hold praise worship and Wednesday worship services.
How did you come to worship today? are you happy? Are you full of worries? Or are you worried about things at home or at work? We know that worship is dedicated to Almighty God.
Therefore, we must clear our minds before worship.
And then we must go to the Lord. The Lord requires us to worship with humility and sincerity. So, what kind of heart should you give?
1. happy heart
(Psalm 100:4) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise, give thanks to him and bless his name.
The object of our worship is to worship the God who saved us even though we were sinners who had no choice but to die.
But if there is no joy in our hearts, what about the heart of God who receives worship?
Therefore, during the time of worship, we should thank God for the grace he has given us and worship with the happiest mind and the happiest mind.
Then God will give us greater grace and blessings.
Isn't this the true form of worship? Worshipers are thrilled with God's grace and give thanks, and God, who is full of joy and receiving worship, is so happy to see us worshiping, pouring out grace and blessings.
Therefore, I hope that today's worship service will be a time to shake off all your worries and concerns and to worship God with gratitude and joy, thinking only of the grace God has given you.
2. A prepared heart (Psalm 29:2)
1) open mind
One of the most important things for a worshiper is an open mind.
God cannot enter those whose hearts are closed.
God never works on those who close the door of their hearts.
How can you fill your heart with other things and receive God?
The Lord said that blessed are the poor in spirit. Also, the Lord said, 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and sup with him, and he with me' (Revelation 3:20).
If I empty my heart and the Lord knocks on the door of my heart, the person who is ready to open it is the person who is ready for worship. I believe that God will give grace and blessings to such people.
2) A heart to obey the Word
We hear many words. Today's Word is not lacking, but rather too full and overflowing, which is often a problem.
Do you take it lightly because there are so many words? A lot of people think it's good, but it doesn't fit the reality, and I don't think it's applicable?
So, isn't the gospel the 'I am the gospel' that puts priority on oneself?
We should remember the Bible saying that obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). In addition, we must keep in mind that the wise person whom the Lord spoke of in parables is the one who heard the word and put it into practice and built a house on the rock (Matthew 7:24-27).
Whatever the word of the Lord, it is the heart that is ready to obey.
Even today, the words heard through the pulpit are the words given to me, not others. Therefore, a person who has the heart to obey all of these words without leaving a single word is a person who is ready for worship. He gives grace and blessings to those who are prepared in this way. -Amen-
3. Holy tension (Psalm 86:11)
1) humility
Some people raise their positions (elder, gwonsa) and there are people who want to be recognized.
I also believe that anything is possible if the church has a lot of finances. Really? Such attitudes will prevail in the world. But our worship is not meant to show off in front of the world. God does not recognize positions and wealth.
We must know that such things are a product of God's blessing.
The attitude toward God should be free from pretense or adornment.
Only humility is required (Micah 6:8). The Lord has told us to humble ourselves like little children (Matthew 18:2-4). Humility is the right attitude of the saints before God.
2) attitude of reverence
People tend to act arbitrarily or freely in front of people they think are inferior to them. (Rolling type)
Also, people tend to become servile when they think they have more skills, positions, or wealth than themselves. (Brother-in-law) However, reverence before the Lord, that is, fear, does not mean this attitude. Therefore, the attitude of reverence is a natural attitude of worship before God, but there are many cases where this attitude is disturbed today. Are we actually more conscious and afraid of people than God, the object we fear and fear? We must restore the attitude to truly fear God.
conclusion
Saints! How has your worship attitude been so far? If you think that you are in the wrong position to judge yourself, please return to the position God wants you to have. Also, if the attitude of worship is sincere, apply it to practice worship in your life. Let's keep in mind that faithful worship should be a worship practiced in our daily life with an attitude of eliminating lies and pretense.
