Title: If God Lives...
Contents
Today is Reformation Sunday. In 1517, Martin Luther criticized the Catholic Church, which was corrupt at the time, and criticized the unbiblical part of the church in Wittenberg through the 95 Theses Rebuttal, which became the starting point of the Reformation.
Of course, Luther didn't start the Reformation, but it was the starting point that eventually led to the Reformation.
We need the courage to live according to the word of the Lord. Especially in this age, we need the courage of the Lord as a man. You need the courage to confidently reveal that you are a believer in Jesus, the courage to live like Jesus, and the courage to not compromise with injustice and always beat yourself up and submit to the Word.
You will experience the growth of faith when you have the courage to give yourself a life pleasing to God, give your time to the Lord, give your passion to the Lord, and give your pure heart to Him.
In today's text, the Apostle Paul speaks strongly of the absolute nature of the gospel in today's text.
Look at the strong religious courage shown in the text. I boldly proclaim that anyone, even an angel, will be cursed if I preach any other gospel other than the truth of the gospel I preached.
This absolute faith, this absolute certainty, when it springs up in the heart, is manifested in the courage of reform.
The Reformers chanted several slogans, “Solar Pides, Solar Scraptra, Solar Grafia” - by faith alone, by the Bible alone, by grace alone… . The priorities were clear.
Above all faith, above all the Bible, above all the grace of God. This was first.
It takes courage to live as a Christian today. There is no such persecution as in the old days of persecution. We do not have such persecution that punishes Christians as in the Middle East these days.
But in fact, when there is such persecution, believers and unbelievers are clearly distinguished. A clear distinction is made between those who do not lose faith in the Lord even in the face of hardship and persecution, and those who easily compromise by abandoning their faith.
However, in the field of our lives, the distinction is ambiguous. The distinction between believers and non-believers is ambiguous. The only difference between believers and non-believers is the age in which it is decided and judged whether or not to attend church.
So, what comes out is that there are many evangelists in the church as well. How unfortunate is this? Those who need to be evangelized are not only those outside the church, but also those who are already in the church community.
What does it mean?
People who come to church but have never experienced Jesus,
Those who attend worship but are ignorant of the existence of the Holy Spirit living and working among us,
People who sing hymns but do not enjoy the emotion, emotion, and gratitude,
People who pray but do not have the assurance of an answer, and end up with only comfort in their hearts,
Those who hear the word but are not convinced of eternal life through the word... .
I'm very sorry, but maybe you yourself?
So it takes more courage.
Courage to live as a sure Christian in this lukewarm world,
The courage to make the decision to live life that, at least as a Christian, should not be lived like that in a world that is falling apart
Courage to show honesty in the lives of those who live with trickery and compromise,
In a world that only pursues money, the courage to live with the conviction that money is not everything, but that Jesus is the reason for my life and is my everything… .
Isn't this what the Lord wants from us?
