Title: If I Hear That Voice Today
Contents
The gospel has the voice of the past and the voice of today. In the past, that voice was the gospel of redemption, and today, that voice is the gospel of salvation. The gospel of redemption, or the forgiveness of sins, is the gospel that has already been fulfilled, and the gospel of salvation, the eternal gospel, is the gospel that will be fulfilled today.
The gospel of redemption, that is, the dead gospel to sin, is the gospel of the flesh, and the gospel of salvation, that is, the gospel of righteousness, is the gospel of the Spirit. It is written, “As for this Son, who was born of the line of David according to the flesh, and was declared the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 1:3-4). It is like a word of evidence.
The gospel of the Son of Man, or Jesus, is the gospel of redemption, and the gospel of Christ, the Son of God, is the gospel of salvation. Therefore, the name (Jesus, Christ) is the word (man, the Son of God).
If there is only redemption and no salvation, there is only the cross that died to sin, and there is no resurrection of life to righteousness. It is a tree without fruit because there is only the death of man and there is no life of the Son of God, and it will eventually enter the second death. It is written, “They eat together with you without fear; they are the reefs of your love feasts, shepherds feeding themselves, and waterless clouds carried by the wind, and unfruitful autumn trees that die and are uprooted by their roots” (Jude 1:12). It's like your evidence.
It is written, “If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is also in vain, and we will be found as false witnesses of God. For if the dead had not risen, then God would not have raised up Christ. If the dead had not been raised, then Christ would not have been raised. If Christ had not been raised, your faith would be in vain. You will still be in your sins, and those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If our only hope in Christ is in this life, then we are of all men the most pitiful of all” (1 Corinthians 15:13-19). will be
Therefore, he died in Jesus (body) and was raised by Christ (spirit). It is the same as the evidence of what is written, "... being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).
There are two kinds of faith in the gospel: the righteousness of God, the gospel of redemption by being put to death in the flesh, and the gospel of salvation by being raised in the spirit. It is the same as the words of the evidence, as it is written, “The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel, from faith to faith, as it is written, The righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17).
As there is the seed and there is fruit, so there is death to sin and life to righteousness. Therefore, regarding the gospel of salvation living in righteousness, the Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). No one can be saved without faith in the everlasting gospel of raising from the dead to righteousness.
Since this gospel of eternal salvation has been bound up to this day, it has been dark until now. That is, as it is written, “As it is written, “To this day God has given them a blind spirit, eyes that cannot see, and ears that cannot hear” (Romans 11:8).
This was until the promise that God permitted was reached. It is the same as it was written, “He gave himself as a ransom for all, and when the time comes, he will testify” (1 Timothy 2:6), and “we will do this if God wills it” (Hebrews 6:3). It is the same as evidence, and it is the same as the saying, “He said to me, ‘You must prophesy again to many peoples and nations and tongues and kings’” (Rev 10:11). He had the everlasting gospel to preach to all nations, tribes, tongues, and peoples” (Revelation 14:6).
The day when the promise is made, the day God allows it, the day of prophecy again, and the day the eternal gospel is preached to many nations, tribes, tongues, and peoples are not the days of the flesh, but the days of the spirit, that is, today.
Here is the wisdom of God: those who have ended the gospel of the flesh are dead and cannot hear the eternal gospel today, but those who reach the gospel of the spirit are asleep and will hear the eternal gospel today. It is written, “Therefore, awake, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you...” (Ephesians 5:14) is the testimony of the eternal voice today.
As he said, “God is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living, and to God all men live…” (Luke 20:38) As the testimony of God said, those who hear his voice today are not the dead, but the living. You will inherit the kingdom of God with the risen Christ.
Therefore, the gospel we hear today is the eternal gospel. “Today you hear that voice.” Amen. Thank you Lord.
