Faith more precious than gold (1 Peter 1:7)
The center of Christianity is ‘faith’.
That is why the Apostle Peter tells us that “faith is more precious than gold” and says in 1 Peter 1:7.
How long have you been to church?
Or what kind of office do you hold in the church? is not important,
When you have faith, you are called a Christian.
Faith is very important to believers.
Faith is our life! It is connected to all fields.
We are saved by faith,
It is faith that we are purified,
It is also faith to be recognized as the Son of God.
All of this is experienced by faith rather than being explained in words.
The main work of the Lord was to see if he had ‘faith’.
That's why he said, "Faith has healed you."
In the hometown of the Lord, he did not perform any wonderful miracles because the people there did not have faith.
He also said, “If it is possible, what do you mean? Nothing is impossible for those who believe.”
So Peter said that faith is more precious than gold, and Paul said there will always be,
Faith is said to be the substance of things hoped for.
I hope that we too will have faith and become the saints the Lord is looking for.
What is such an important belief?
First) What is faith? It is believing in God and believing that there is a God.
To trust means to “take refuge in him.”
Proverbs 3:5 says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart”
It is like a young baby taking refuge with its mother's feathers, and it is a state of being free from anxiety.
David said, “My soul takes refuge in you, but under the shadow of your wings.”
If you believe in God,
If you have faith,
It is not that difficulties do not arise, but that even when difficulties come, we believe in God’s victory and do not become anxious.
I hope you have this kind of faith that is not anxious.
Second) What is faith? It is believing in the omnipotence of God.
The devil keeps whispering that God cannot do it.
That's why Hebrews 3:12 says, "Brothers, be on your guard, lest any of you have an unbelieving heart and will turn away from the living God."
There is nothing God cannot do.
It's just different from what I'm thinking and planning.
Therefore, you must not be deceived.
We must not deny the power of God.
God is omnipotent. This is faith.
Third) If you have faith, you will become loyal.
When we have faith, we stand on God's side regardless of circumstances.
But if you do not have faith, you will betray.
In the New Testament, the opposite of faith is called betrayal.
Betrayal leaves deep scars on the emotions,
That's why I want to kill you
Like the betrayal of Judas Iscariot, it ultimately leads to suicide.
Therefore, may you have the loyal faith that you become a living, not a dying.
Fourth) What if you have faith? We become faithful people.
To be faithful means to bear fruit.
Like the nine fruits of the Spirit,
Like a tree planted by a stream,
It produces beautiful results.
So, the Lord did not see anything else, but saw whether there was faith.
Fifth) What is faith? It gives us confidence. It means to make us bold.
1 John 5:14 says, “This is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
Faith is absolute certainty.
Faith is the image of David smiling as he goes out to fight Goliath.
David had faith in God, so he was looking at Goliath, not at the living Goliath, but at the already dead giant Goliath.
The victory already belonged to David.
This fact amazed David.
So, if you have faith,
If you believe in God,
You will be amazed.
Because where there is real faith, fear disappears.
We hope that you will be full of ecstasy and joy with the same faith as David.
Sixth) Faith means obedience.
Like Mary, the mother of the Lord, “do whatever he says to you” (John 2:5).
we have faith,
If you are confident in the existence of God and the work of God, you will naturally obey the Word of God.
Why are you disobeying?
not because of money
It's not even an honor,
Not even a church
It's not that I don't understand
It's all because you don't have faith.
When I am confident that God has sufficient protection for me, it shows that I have this kind of faith, which is obedience.
I want you to be the bearers of faith.
Finally, if you have faith, you will open your mouth and testify.
1 John 5:10 says, “He who believes in the Son of God has evidence.”
Romans 10:10 says, “With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation.”
Jesus also said, “When you receive the Holy Spirit, you will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth.”
If you have faith, you will be able to say without hesitation that God will help you.
But the devil silences us.
Still, it's called his personality.
Don't be fooled.
Faith is evidence.
If you live by faith, you will cry out aloud.
Paul said that even if someone called me crazy, I would cry out to Jesus.
If you have faith,
We are recognized as 'righteous' by God.
No matter how much the devil whispers, it will not be deceived, it will not shake, and it will become stronger.
Faith pleases God.
Waiting for God's blessing.
Then, you will receive the blessings that God gives you.
Faith is the reality of things hoped for.
Saints of our hope!
Those who have faith and are blessed by God, those whom God seeks!
