Illusion and fact (John 14:6)
Those of you who have been to Jeju Island, have you been to a place called ‘Goblin Road’? The road is clearly uphill when you look at it with the naked eye, but if you turn off the engine and leave the brake unlocked, the car will go up on the hill, and if you pour water on it, the water will flow upwards. However, the fact is that the natural environment around them creates an optical illusion, so in reality the downhill road looks just like an uphill road.
There were male twins in the same house. The two children had similar faces, the same size, wore the same clothes, and went to school together. The locals saw him and recognized him as his younger brother, and sometimes he recognized his younger brother as his older brother. These two children grew up and, according to Korean customs, got engaged on one day and had a wedding on the other. Although the sexies are new, they can be recognized immediately because they have different faces and different clothes.
Now, let's do an experiment on illusions. (Screen 1 - Illusion and Fact Picture) Everyone, look at this picture. Does it look like the four vertical lines are bent? However, in reality, the four vertical lines are vertical and parallel to each other. Stand up a little and you can see it. The rhombic line is what makes our eyes look like they are curved because of the illusion. Through experiments on illusions like this, we come to know that there is an unintentional illusion in our eyesight and discernment. (Screen 2 - Illusion and Fact)
Perhaps you are under the illusion that “there is no God”. But the Bible says, “A fool says in his heart, There is no God.” Perhaps you are under the illusion that “I am not a sinner”. But the Bible says, "If we say we are without sin, we deceive ourselves.... If we say that we have not sinned, we are making God a liar." Perhaps you are under the illusion that “If you live with a good conscience, you will go to heaven.” But the Bible says, “Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” Perhaps you are under the illusion that your life is “mine”. But the Bible says, "God said, Foolish one, this night your soul will be sought again."
There may be delusions. There is a saying that “Illusion is free”. However, misconceptions about God and Jesus, salvation and life, and heaven and hell will lead to fatal misfortune. Soon you will be plunged into an eternal and irreversible hell. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden. I will give you rest.” “Come, let us argue with one another. Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be as wool.” Get rid of your illusions and come to Jesus right now. If you admit your sins and believe in Jesus, a new life will begin for you that you have never experienced before. To say that you believe in Jesus has two meanings: First, it means believing in the identity of Jesus, and second, believing in what Jesus did. (Screen 3 - Meaning to believe in Jesus)
1. Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the Son of God. Therefore, he is God. A puppy is the son of a dog, and a calf is the son of a cow. And we are all sons of man. Dogs and calves are very different from humans in nature. Dogs and calves are beasts, but humans are completely different primates of all things.
Then whose son is Confucius? Confucius is the son of his father Sukyang Hall and his mother Ahn Jingjae. Whose son is Sakyamuni? Sakyamuni is the son of King Jeongban of Kapira, India. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin Mary, who did not know a man by the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the essence of Jesus is God and God.
2. What did Jesus do?
First, Jesus died on the cross for our sins at the young age of 33, being nailed to his hands and feet, wearing a crown of thorns on his head, and piercing his side with a spear. Jesus never died of old age, disease, or a car accident, but He died on the cross to pay the price for your sins and me.
Second, Jesus was resurrected on the third day. Jesus was nailed to the cross from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, suffered all kinds of pain, died, and rose again on Sunday morning, three days after He was buried. And while he was in the world for 40 days, he showed himself to be alive more than ten times and ascended to heaven. The tomb of Confucius is in Shandong, China, and the tomb of Shakyamuni after his death was cremated and buried in eight countries in India. But Jesus' tomb is empty. Because Jesus was resurrected. The tomb of Jesus is empty, with only these words written on it. “He is not here. He has risen!” “He is not here, but has risen.”
3. What is the result of believing in Jesus? (Screen 4 - The result of believing in Jesus)
Anyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for my sins and rose again, receives forgiveness of sins. You become a child of God. As a child of God, we are blessed on this earth. You will be blessed for your descendants. And when our life on this earth ends, we are welcomed into the kingdom of heaven. You will enjoy eternal life in a heaven where there are no sighs and tears, poverty and disease, anxiety and fear, war and terror, hatred and envy, strife and contention.
4. Choice and Decision (Screen-5)
Dear brothers and sisters! Resolutely abandon the illusion that ‘there is no God’, ‘I am not a sinner’, ‘If you live a good conscience, you will go to heaven’, and ‘Life is mine’, resolutely abandon the illusion and believe in Jesus. Choose Jesus and choose life so that you and your descendants may live forever
