Title: Illusion of a Rich Young Man!
A rich young Jewish man came to Jesus and said, “Good Teacher! What good deeds must I do to inherit eternal life?” The reason this young man came to Jesus and asked this question was that he was confident about his religious life. So, “Teacher! It can be seen that there is a lot of self-righteousness in the words “I must do something good.” So, this young man's intention is in a nutshell, "Even you, who claims to be the Son of God and who does good works, acknowledge my faith!" Well, this is a word with a lot of intent.
Jesus quickly recognized the young man's intentions and said: "Why do you ask me for good things? There is only one good one! Keep the commandments if you want to enter life.” The young man immediately replied, “Which commandment is it?” It is like digging my own grave. Our Lord never misses an opportunity like this, always and now. He asked the young man, "Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself." I have kept all these things since I was a child, so what am I still lacking?” He approached Jesus closely as if arguing. As if waiting for such a word from the young man, Jesus said, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give it to the poor! Then you will have treasure in heaven! And come, follow me!”
Up until then, he had tried to push Jesus into a corner and to carry out his argument, but the young man was gracefully beaten by Jesus with a large counter shot and stumbled out of the place. If I had known this would be the case, I'd rather not be ostentatious. How could I have been with you because I was embarrassed? When Jesus asked if he kept the commandments, if he hadn't boasted or boasted that he had kept those things well, he could have asked forgiveness for doing something wrong. In the end, what he said became a snare and he couldn't even ask for forgiveness for making a mistake. So he just left his seat. In this case, in Korean, it is said that the
This is not something that only happened in the time of Jesus. This is very likely to happen even today. To summarize what this young man misunderstood at the time, he knew that he would have eternal life if he kept the commandments according to the law because he lived under the law from a young age. So, the young man came to Jesus, who was being pointed at by many Jews for calling himself the Son of God at that time, and even gave him the title of Good Teacher and asked about eternal life with confidence. If this young man had realized that no one could attain eternal life through the law, and that he could attain eternal life only by believing in the Son sent by God, he would not have been so overconfident of himself. But since no one told him that, the young man followed the tradition of his ancestors and knew that.
If this is the reality of the Jews at that time, even Christians who have received the Holy Spirit today, like this young man, know that if they die, they will surely reach eternal life. Today, even if you hold on to the Christians who have received the Holy Spirit and ask all ten people in ten, they believe that they will surely reach heaven when they die. Of course, some of them express an uneasy feeling, “If I die like this, will I be able to enter heaven?” probably because of a remorse of conscience, but most think that they will be able to go. If they don't think like that, they're thinking that way at least partly because they can't live with anxiety for a day.
If the Son of God comes in front of people who have such thoughts and exchanges conversations with them like this young man, in nine out of ten times he will find out he is at a disadvantage and end up fighting, or he will try to push his argument through to the end. Those who run the line are those who run away with a sense of conscience at a glance at what they said, so they belong to the yangban side, and the problem is those who try to carry out their claims until the very end. Those who try to carry out their claims have to raise their hands that they are sinners if they accept the Son's words, so they have to stand up for their claims in front of the Son until the end. These people look human on the outside, but on the inside they are under the devil's command. Because there is only the devil in this world who can oppose the Son of God. The Pharisees resisted Jesus in this way, and they were given the title Sons of Vipers.
Nothing like this has changed today. As long as Satan's power remains in this world, wherever humans live, the devil and his minions (demons) are always opposing the sons of God. Who are those who speak against the truth? These are dead spirits who speak under the command of the devil. They are also spirit creatures, so even if they die, they will not give up their will. If they bend their will, they too will have to be expelled from the human race, so they try not to break their will by any means possible. This is the reason why humans do not want to accept the Son of God, that is, the truth. They also want to accept the truth of the Son, but they are forced to reject the Son because of the evil spirit's playfulness that creates anxiety in their hearts. That's why I'm telling you to expose yourself as a sinner if you don't want them to choke inside. The only way to expose themselves as sinners is to get these guys stuck.
