Title: Imitate Their Faith/Hebrews 13:7-9

Bible: Hebrews 13:7-9

Title: Imitate Our Faith

The words of this text teach us a lesson not to fall into the formalism of Judaism, but to separate our lives by believing in the perfect atonement of Christ and offer them completely to God as a living sacrifice. Then, what is the formalistic belief of Judaism? It refers to anything that lives in the absolute and most formalized way of the Mosaic Law. They are denying Jesus Christ. These things show that we are living a very formal life of faith in modern times.

There is a lesson for us through the words of this text, and that is to imitate their faith. To imitate here means to imitate the beautiful life of faith of our predecessors of faith.

1. The imitation of our faith is the saints who think of those who taught and led the Word of God.

He told them to engrave the life and teachings of the church and the preachers of the word who are striving for their spiritual growth and use it as a model for their own lives.

Hebrews 2:03 How shall we escape, if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was first spoken of by the Lord, and it has been confirmed to us by those who have heard it.

2. If you imitate their faith, watch the end of their deeds and imitate them.

Here, the ‘end of conduct’ means to learn how to deal with life and death by observing their lives and deaths and those who have seen them as their exemplary religious lives.

3. To imitate our faith is to follow in the footsteps of our seniors of faith, who did not give up their faith in any adversity, even when tempted by unbelievers.

In this way, the Christian life will taste the true maturity of faith when we listen to the Word of God, keep the teachings, learn the right attitude of a senior believer, and apply what we learn to our own life.

So, through the Word, “Have this mind, which was also the mind of Jesus,” is a message of instruction to us through Philippians 2. Our good Leader is Jesus Christ, our eternal Redeemer, and following the words and life of our Teacher, Jesus Christ, preserves our faith fully (12:2) and is the best way for us to grow day by day. .

Ephesians 4:13 And we will all become one in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, until we reach the full stature of the stature of Christ, for we are no longer children, to This is so that they will not be moved and tossed by every wind of doctrine.
