Title: Immerse yourself in God
2 Corinthians (19) Immerse yourself in God (2 Corinthians 5:11-16)
<Don't brag about yourself>
What did the false prophets who boasted about their appearance at that time mainly boasted? There were mainly three things. First, they boasted that they had witnessed Jesus physically (verse 16). Second, they boasted that they had the recommendation letter of the Jerusalem church (2 Corinthians 3:1). Third, they boasted that they had received special visions and revelations. So the Apostle Paul also came to confess the vision of ascending to the third heaven, which he had hid for 14 years (2 Corinthians 12:1-7).
The reason people try to brag about their worldly appearance is because they view themselves as lowly and lowly from the worldly point of view. Such pride must be healed. It is important to be proud of a job well done, but not to boast of humanity and worldliness. How can we cure the disease of pride? Loving Jesus more is the best solution. Believers should have nothing to boast about except Jesus.
< Immerse yourself in God >
The saints need to know how to go crazy sometimes in a good sense. If you see unbelievers being zealous for God and accuse them of being crazy, don't worry. Of course, we must abandon the fanatical beliefs that depart from morals and ethics. But in a good sense, you must also know how to go crazy. Jesus heard it too. Mark 3:21 says this. “When the relatives of Jesus heard of it, they came out to arrest him, saying that he was crazy.”
Later, Paul said that he was mad for the Lord (verse 13). What are you crazy about? I was crazy about the Lord and preaching the gospel. A history that has such a good effect must appear. If it goes 180 degrees, it's weird, but if it goes completely 360 degrees, it's back to where it was supposed to be. If you hear crazy noises because of such a different and holy life, don't be afraid. Why was Paul mad for the Lord? Because he realized the compelling love of the Lord who died for him (verse 14).
Most worldly love is based on selfish motives. So it is not easy for a couple to die for each other. The relationship between parents and children is not easy. Few children die for their parents, and virtually few parents die for their children. But how can we turn away from that love when Christ died for people like ourselves, not parents or children? So I fell deeply in the love of the Lord.
How many people live without purpose? Helplessness and apathy are mostly caused by a lack of purpose. However, the apostle Paul clearly had something to look at and live for. That is Jesus. Jesus said. “I died for you. Won't you live for me?" After seeing that love, Paul devoted his life to loving and preaching Jesus. Be deeply immersed in the work of loving and preaching the Lord like that, and become blessed souls who live their lives according to one will in a fulfilling way.
