Title: Imprisonment and Jailbreak
Contents
The early church, the leaders were Peter, James, and John. Of course, there were 12 disciples, but it is easy to see that Jesus specially supervised and guided these three disciples. Then, in the early church, as John the Baptist was beheaded and Stephen was stoned to death, an unusual current was sensed. But James, the son of thunder, was not one to give up on what the wind would call the wind. James, rushing in the wind, was blown away by Herod's sword. After removing one of the three members of the early church, Herod must have looked at the people's mood in a state of extreme tension. From the Jews' point of view, although he was a heretic in Judaism, he was still a spiritual leader, and he must have been resentful of killing his own people for no apparent reason. Unexpectedly, however, most of the Jews were aloof and, rather, “rejoiced in this (James death).”
1. When did God intervene in Peter? :'the night before': That is, the night before Herod was about to cut off Peter's head. This is the time set by God. For Peter and the saints, time is late, it is a time of crisis and giving up, but God works at such a time. When the Israelites left Egypt and arrived at the Red Sea, they must have thought of death. At that time, God allowed history. They begin to supply manna and quail in the middle of the desert, where the food they brought from Egypt has run out. Therefore, we must end and give up the expressions that say it is over and give up in our mouths.
2. When did God intervene in Peter? : 'I was imprisoned, my whole body was chained, and the prison door was closed with iron', and if you look at the more realistic words, 16 guards, chains, iron gate, prison, dark night, tied up, two soldiers, in one word Impossible situation. When we are in a situation where we cannot get out of ourselves by anything, God solves Peter's problem in God's way.
So, how was it possible to experience God's grace in such a crisis and impossibility? :5 - ‘The church prayed earnestly to God for him (Peter).’ Aspirin was a panacea for my childhood. I ate how and where it hurts from head to toe, and when I ate, almost everything was healed. God has given the people of God on this earth a first aid kit. That drug is a panacea. Whenever there is a problem, he tells me to use that medicine. Since creation, no alternative medicine other than this medicine has been given. He tells us to use only prayer, even in times of crisis or in impossible things. This prayer has the power to untie the things that bind us, to break down the barriers on our way, and to make way for the roadless road. I hope it will be a year in which we bet on this prayer.
