Title: In Everything / 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Contents Thank you for everything / 1 Thessalonians 5:18
“In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
According to the Talmud, a wise person is always willing to learn, a rich person is not a person who possesses much, but a person who knows how to be satisfied with what he has, and the one who overcomes is the one who wins the battle against himself. However, as our victory lies in our faith in God, we promise to live with abundant grace and happiness given to those who win in the race of faith.
People seek a happy life. When asked about the conditions for happiness, the answer is that it is time to possess many things, such as power, money, fame, and knowledge. However, in the light of God's Word, it says that happiness is not something that we have, but that we can be happy when we are thankful. So who is the happy one? Happy people are those who can appreciate what they have and what they are living in the present.
The Bible says, “In everything give thanks.” We are told to give thanks in all circumstances, even in difficult times, in failures, in successes, when our desires are fulfilled, and whatever our circumstances. Happiness comes in through the door of gratitude and goes out through the door of resentment and complaints.
We can be grateful while comparing. Thinking of people who are more difficult than me is that I can be grateful. However, no matter how good I am, when I look at people in better circumstances than me, resentment and complaints arise rather than gratitude. Even though I am having a hard time right now, there are many people around me who are more difficult and more difficult than me, and if we compare the days that have passed compared to the present, we can be grateful in today's life.
Also, we see that if we pray, we can be thankful, and if we give thanks, amazing changes occur. When we give thanks, resentment and complaints disappear, and God moves people and changes the environment in our lives. Therefore, rather than being grateful for what has been accomplished in our daily lives, I hope that we will overflow with gratitude for God's grace on our spiritual level.
November is a month of gratitude. We believe that God will lead us to a happy life when we all give thanks for being children of God in Jesus Christ, thanks for being saved, for giving hope to heaven, and thinking about God's grace and giving thanks.
