Title: Inheritance in Christ / Ephesians 1:11-14
Content Inheritance in Christ / Ephesians 1:11-14
Guys, what do you think is the happiest?
Let's be honest about it this time. What do you think would make me happy at this time? Are you married? is it money? Are you healthy? Are you coming out? Or what do you think?
What did God say to Abraham? In Genesis 15:1 we read, "After this the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, for I am your shield and your exceedingly great reward."
In Matthew 5 and below, Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven...."
What did David say? He said, 'There is no good for me except the Lord.'
That is, we can know well that those who have faith are the most blessed. That is why the Apostle Paul said that faith is a gift from God.
In other words, they are those who have received special grace from God. What is that grace?
It is the grace of redemption and the grace of forgiveness.
Verse 7 says, “In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”
Everyone, what do you want the most from a death row inmate, and what is the greatest blessing? is it money? is it healthy? Marriage?...... Nothing in the world.
There is nothing but forgiveness of sins and freedom from prison.
It comes from death to life. It is to get a new life. And then you can get married and be healthy.
We were forced to die in our sins, but God's abundant grace and special gifts were given to us through Jesus Christ. Therefore, the greatest blessing for sinners is forgiveness and nothing else. It is the grace of God's forgiveness. There is no greater joy than when you are forgiven and set free from your mortal sins.
And the greatest blessing for us, who have a limited life, is nothing else but eternal life. However, it is important to remember that gold is precious to those who know how precious it is, no matter how much gold it is. In this way, only those who know the blessings of heaven will be blessed.
The eldest son in the parable of the prodigal son does not know that it is a blessing to live with his father, so no matter how abundant his father's all things, it cannot be a blessing for him. But the younger son realized what a blessing it was to live with his father in the midst of living a prodigal life away from his father.
But the important thing is how can life like the prodigal son recover the lost business? Let's come to the point It is only possible in Christ.
1 Timothy 1:14 says, “The grace of our Lord abounded abounding along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”
The grace of God's forgiveness and the blessings of heaven come only through Jesus Christ, who took the punishment and shed His blood for us.
Verse 9 says, “He made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, ordained in Christ for the dispensation of the fulness of times.”
A 'secret' is always a secret to an unrelated person. In other words, even if you hear it, you don't understand it. However, those who have a relationship with God, that is, those who have a relationship with the inheritance of heaven, will immediately realize the content and importance of the secret when it is revealed.
So when the Apostle Paul realized and knew the mystical plan for the eternal and pleasing purpose, that is, to receive the grace of forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ, and to inherit eternal life, he was so moved that he said, 'Blessed be God, our Lord. The Father of Christ Jesus.”
Regardless of the Old Testament or New Testament times, the inheritance that God has promised is a mystery that can only be given and enjoyed in Christ. This is God's special grace.
In Ephesians 1:3, 4, 6, it says, 'In Christ...every spiritual blessing has been given to us', 'he chose us in him' and 'he freely gave us in his beloved'. This is God's mysterious plan.
The eyes that can understand and understand this mystery are only faith and the grace of God.
Verse 11 says, "In him we became an inheritance", but the original text says, 'In him we also became an inheritance'.
It means not only the inheritance of heaven given to the children of God, but also forgiveness of sins through the blood of Christ, being able to deeply know the mystery of God, and to understand geography under the illumination of the Holy Spirit, and to be set free from the power of sin in the past. , it is saying that you have received the right to future glory.
That inheritance is the right to salvation and all blessings in Jesus Christ, regardless of our merits.
There are two types of corporations that are given to believers. It refers to the blessings to be received here and now and the blessings to be received in the future. In other words, it refers to the blessings of heaven and the blessings of earth.
The realization of these two blessings is only fulfilled in Jesus Christ. In other words, believers can enjoy God when they believe in God as the source of blessing and abide in His Son, Jesus Christ. Therefore, the source of all blessings is the God who created all things.
And God becomes an eternal inheritance for believers.
Lamentations 3:24 says, "The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him."
Indeed, our inheritance is not material, nor business, nor career, but only Jehovah God. do you believe Jehovah is our reward and the source of our blessings now and in the future.
We must remember that there is no other way than obedience in Christ to receive God as our inheritance.
Since all God's plans are blessed, God is a blessing and a blessing to those who trust and obey Him.
Then, what are the saints who have received this blessed and eternal inheritance to do?
Verse 12 says, “That we, who had long hoped in Christ, might become to the praise of his glory.”
In other words, we should glorify God and live a life that pleases Him.
The life that glorifies God does not mean that the saints blaspheme God because they do not live according to the Word of God, but rather the life of the saints, that is, the life of the light and salt of the world.
For example, if one of the children becomes a maknai and is touched by others, it is a great disgrace to the parents. 'Who's child is that guy... Even after giving birth to that, he must have ate the rice soup...' This is the wrath of his parents.
However, some children are praised for their conduct, whether at school or at church. 'I'm really envious of whose child that child is. If I had a daughter like that... How would it be if I had a son like that?!' This is the honor of those parents.
In this way, our members should be recognized and praised no matter where they are and what they do. When we receive the recognition and praise that we are consistent and faithful in the little things or the great things yesterday, we glorify God through the life of our enemies.
What we believers need to be careful of is that our words and deeds must not be different. must match.
Jeremiah 9:8 says, “Their tongue is a deadly flesh, they speak lies; with their mouth they speak peace to their neighbor, but in their heart they seek evil.”
How can we please God if we cry out for love and peace with our words, but still have hate, envy, and evil in our hearts?
If we are God's children who truly enjoy God, we must love God with designation. We must strive to do what pleases God. You should do it with joy in Holy Week, tithing, worship and thanksgiving, service life, and evangelism life. This is what it means to enjoy God.
If God is truly our inheritance, life, source of blessing, and source of joy, isn't it something we should do because our God is good?
However, it is our reality that our company is living like the world and material things.
Actually, this is not a small problem. The reason is that such a person has no relationship with God's inheritance.
People who are affiliated with a company love the company. rejoice. It's good. Now we need to think about what we are doing better than God's work. I pray that God will become the object of your love and become an eternal enterprise.
So, I hope that you will be the ones who rejoice in singing in Zion and being a servant to the Lord. These people say in the Bible, 'Eternal joy will be on their heads, and they will find joy and joy, and sorrow and sighing will pass away'.
That blessed and eternal inheritance is to be enjoyed through faith received through hearing and obedience to God's word in Christ. In particular, since it was sealed by the promise of the Holy Spirit, it becomes an eternal and immutable inheritance.
Dear saints, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become truly happy people who enjoy this blessed inheritance from now on forever.
