Title: Innkeeper and Shepherds / Luke 2:1-13
Contents
When Jesus came into this world, people had three main attitudes toward Him. The first was Herod.
He treated Jesus with hatred and hatred. He even tried to kill Jesus. He said yes
He did not know that Jesus was the savior who would save him. Here his life ends in tragedy.
The second was the attitude of the three wise men and the shepherds. They not only received Jesus, but also praised Him.
He also gave him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. These are the happiest and most famous people in the world.
Thirdly, it is the attitude of the innkeeper. The most amazing luck in a lifetime for the innkeeper.
It has come. The opportunity for the Messiah to be born in his house has come. Some people like the Magi.
He was able to sit still and meet the Messiah, whom he could barely meet by walking a long distance.
C. How great is this blessing? But he lost the mine.
1. Why did the innkeeper miss the opportunity of blessing?
First, because it is too busy. A person must be busy in some way. miserable like a person with nothing to do in the world
There is no one, but many people are too busy working to build the Tower of Babel of their glory.
Yes. It is the owner of this inn. People ask, where am I now? Where else should I go?
Am I really on the right path? We must always check.
Are you forgetting something more important while being 'busy and busy'? The most important thing in life is
I live for the work that God has entrusted to me. I walk the path of life with the Lord in my heart.
It should be preceded above all else. But the owner of this inn couldn't do it.
has just begun. So how are we now? We love you so much that we can't meet the baby Jesus
Aren't you busy? Are we seeking first his kingdom and his righteousness?
Second, they did not show even the smallest kindness.
and may not be able to give the room to the person who comes later. However, the innkeeper is Joseph and Mary.
Even if you don't know what kind of person you are, you can at least give a room to a full-term mother from a humanitarian standpoint.
It should have been. But even that opportunity was lost.
We know in the Bible as well as in modern times the case of unintentionally entertaining angels while serving guests diligently
But the owner of this inn misses the opportunity to give his room to the Messiah.
We, believers, always show love, treat strangers, and help the little ones with joy.
You must do it, because you treat the angels unintentionally.
Jesus himself said, “Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
Because he said, "Neah" (Matthew 25:40).
Third, it was because he was indifferent. He could not afford his room, but at least his bed.
It had to be. It was an inn, so there was no way I could afford that much. But the owner of the inn was indifferent.
Because of this, he became a pitiful person. Indifference. This is the problem. Indifference to religion, to the kingdom of heaven.
One indifference, indifference to things, this is the root of all problems. Indifference to children
Indifference to society makes this society an unjust society. Indifference to the church
It makes the church sick. Indifference is evidence of lack of love. When indifference dominates a person, it
Ram is alive, but it is as if he died. In Revelation 3, the Sardis church is referred to as "the one who lives."
They have the name, but they are dead.” This kind of church refers to a church that does not care about the soul.
C. Such a church has no evangelism, no prayer, no hot fellowship. Only formalities abound. Only useless traditions.
Runners say they don't have authority. Could it be that we are such dead believers and dead churches? for christmas
Oh, you must reflect.
2. What should we do for Christmas?
First, you must be able to hear the angels like the shepherds. Like the Magi, you must see the stars and run long distances.
You may not be able to come, but you should be able to hear the angels appearing and speaking. The shepherd is open 24 hours a day.
It's a busy job. I'm tired and sleepy at night, so it's hard. But at night, this neck
They had heard the angel's voice. It was good news of joy (Good News = God News).
It was the news that he was born. At that time, the job of a shepherd was ignored and considered a sin like a publican.
C. The voice of an angel has appeared in these marginalized classes. These people are people who do not know much about religion.
C. Their strength is that they have no prejudice. What do we need to hear the voices of angels?
Rather, we should put aside prejudice and give God an opportunity to speak.
Second, you must obey immediately like the shepherds. In verse 15, “The angels departed and ascended into heaven.
The shepherds said to one another, "Now go to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us."
Go quickly,” he said. There are things to do quickly and things to do slowly. But people do things slowly.
Do things quickly and do things slowly. We must obey God's Word immediately.
The liver’s instructions and thoughts are long-awaited and prayerful to receive God’s approval,
C. However, you must immediately obey the Word of God.
Third, go quickly and see Jesus. Verse 16 says, “Go quickly, Mary, and Joseph, and the baby in the manger.
There are times when I only go to see you. This is the problem. Of course, the pastor must see it too, but more importantly, it is not.
We must go and see Jesus. Our problems are not solved until we see Jesus.
have you met Don't even think about going home until you meet him. Meet the baby Jesus and praise him and talk to him.
Alas, any difficult problems are solved.
Fourth, we must deliver the great news of joy to all the people. The shepherds went quickly and told him.
Their mission is not over by seeing." What the angel had told them about this child
Hani said, "Everything can be finished only when you have a life of evangelism. Everyone! Happy people like a shepherd, staying forever.
Don't you want to be a person? To do this, like the shepherds, after meeting Jesus, God tells us
You must tell people what you have done. You must convey the good news and the good news of life. To the ends of the earth... … .
