Title: Interest in Jesus/Acts 1:6-11

There is a saying, Dongsang-dimong (同床異夢). They lie in the same place, but their dreams are different. When we think differently, we get absurd

The content of the text of the Bible today is exactly like this. Jesus and his disciples are together at the last moment on this earth. However, even though they were gathered at the same place, the disciples and Jesus had different ideas.

The disciples' interest was on earth, and Jesus' interest was in heaven. The disciples' interest was in the flesh, and Jesus' interest was in the spirit. Therefore, we should have one heart, but I believe that we should set our hearts to Jesus rather than trying to fit Jesus into our hearts. At that time, we believe that we can do the Lord's works that the Lord is pleased with. Today, one week before the Feast of Pentecost next week, we would like to share the grace of Jesus with his disciples through the content of the Lord's interest.

1. Disciples' interest

After the resurrection of Jesus, there was a new atmosphere for the disciples who were reunited. They are thoughts about the Lord's kingdom. In fact, as they believed and followed Jesus, their hope for the Lord's kingdom was their hope on earth. So Zebedee's mother came to Jesus and asked him to sit one on the right and one on the left when the kingdom of the Lord came. 20:20-25). However, that interest and expectations were all in vain because Jesus died on the cross. The disciples were scattered, and they were in disappointment and frustration, but through the resurrection of Jesus, new hope was given to them. To put it simply, “Then, yes! He is also our Lord. Now that he has overcome death and is alive, we are now invincible.” Isn't that the thought?

Now Jesus will truly fulfill our expectations. With this in mind, the disciples had courage. And today I asked Jesus. “Are you at this time that you will restore Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

You may be interested in us as well. When faced with various difficulties, they say that they give up everything and depend only on God, that they serve only the Lord for the rest of their lives, and they do not think they will ever leave again. If the Lord restores all those difficult periods now, they will be out of breath in front of that recovery. If he does, his thoughts come out again while saying “then it is” again, and there are times when he goes back to his greed.

Even though our interest is in Jesus, we believe that we should check whether we are still in the flesh.

2. Jesus' interest.

In front of these disciples' questions, Jesus speaks like getting cold water. Verse 7 says, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has set by his own authority.” I do not know the question you are asking now. It will not be decided by me, but by the Father in heaven. Says.

The deadline, timing, or timing is not ours. It's God's business, and it's God's work. We need to know where the limits of our abilities are. We need to know how far we are allowed. To put it simply, we need to know our fractions. A person should know fractions, but if he does not, he will be at a loss, fail, and face great difficulties.

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:3, “I say to each one of you by the grace you have given me, do not think more than you ought to think, but think wisely according to the measure of faith God has given you.” I told him not to think more than he ought to think. That's right. As for the times and seasons, even Jesus says that it is not my business.

Then the Lord shifts the attention of the disciples. Where are you? Verse 8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Jesus is interested in our receiving the Holy Spirit. Jesus' interest is that we receive the Holy Spirit and become witnesses of the gospel.

Gentlemen, Jesus is not interested in how well we eat and live well. Jesus is not interested in what kind of house we live in. what car will we drive It doesn't really matter what we eat, what clothes we wear, how much money we make, or how healthy we are. Jesus is interested in whether we are receiving grace. Jesus is interested in whether we have received the Holy Spirit. It is in what we are doing for the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It's about how we preach the gospel. He looks at whether or not to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, even if it is difficult and difficult with the Gospel. It depends on whether we are doing the work of saving the soul while smelling the fragrance of Christ in our workplace.

Where are our interests?

Even though they met Jesus, they still seemed interested in the disciples, as if they were trying to seize power by using the name of Jesus, isn't it? At this time, there are many people on this earth who are trying to gain their own profits by using the name of Jesus, by using the name of the church, or by using their position.

Those of you who are listening today, please don't do that. Now, I hope you will be interested in the things of the Spirit.

There are still many souls on this earth longing for the gospel that many people want you to share.

There are many people who wander in search of the truth. We do not know how many thirsty souls are waiting for the gospel with a thirsty spirit in the world we should be concerned about. If we don't care about them, we become people who don't know the heart of the Lord.

Why do we pray for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and why do we pray and work hard to receive grace? To be a witness. The reason the Holy Spirit is given to us is so that we can boldly proclaim that Jesus is the Christ with the boldness that the Holy Spirit gives us. If you do not repent and believe in Jesus, your soul will go to hell, but if you repent together and believe in Jesus, you will go to heaven. Because we can't do it with our bare mind or even our human heart, the Holy Spirit fills us with the power of the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel. This is because if we receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit, we will know the Lord's heart and preach the gospel even if no one tells us to.

I hope you will once again meditate deeply on what Jesus wants from me today. Our Jesus ascended to heaven after saying these words.

I hope you will count the last words that Jesus left behind in your hearts.

3. Interest in the world.

Now, after Jesus ascended to heaven, the disciples suddenly became puzzled. Something that the disciples could not have imagined just happened a little while ago. Jesus ascended into heaven right before their very eyes. Now the disciples are looking at the sky, not knowing what to do because of this sudden event.

Then the angels appeared and said these words. Verse 11 says, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing and looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way you saw him go into heaven.” Now, the disciples turn their attention to the world again.

That's right. We must go to the world, God is sending us down into this world. “Why are you looking at the sky?” I was stunned, but what do I do now? The Spirit of the Lord went down toward the world to the disciples, who were looking only at the sky. From the holy place where the Lord ascended into heaven, he is asking us to descend into the world that is now waiting for us.

Do you remember what the disciples said when they witnessed a scene where Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the mountain to pray, and his image suddenly changed, and Moses and Elijah appeared and had a conversation with Jesus?

“Lord, it is good that we are here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah” (Luke 9:33). What did Jesus do at that time? He came down from the mountain with his disciples. But what was happening at the bottom of the mountain was that the grandfather came to the disciples with his demon-possessed son. The disciples were struggling with one of the demon-possessed children. Then we can see that Jesus healed him. That's right. It is important that we sometimes climb mountains to pray, and it is also important that we do not leave the Church of God. But remember. The fact that the demon-possessed, sick, and afflicted spirits of this land that are waiting for us are waiting for us to come down.

You must remember that souls who are searching for the truth are waiting for you to hear the gospel. Yes, the Lord is the one who sends the saints into the world. After the worship service, the last benediction is that we now descend into the world. Lord, give us grace, strength, and the fullness of the Holy Spirit so that we can overcome the world and go forth to deliver life to many thirsty souls waiting for us. bless us that means.

(Song of dispatch)

dear saints

Now, what will we be interested in in the world?

What does the Lord really want of us? How well do we understand the heart of the Lord?

What does the Lord want to see through us as He gives us grace and the fullness of the Holy Spirit?

But how will you carry out the commandment that you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in Meekyea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth?

Where is Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth to you? Some are not yet evangelized in my home, my workplace, and my neighbors, and the souls that I have neglected for so long, and even the souls whom I have considered as enemies.

We are not selfish saints who bring Jesus into my interest while believing in Jesus, but we are the saints of Wonwon Church who save lives by entering into the Lord's interest and living the gospel according to His word to save many souls who are dying on this earth. I wish you the best of luck.
