Israel and Egypt (Exodus 1:8-14) - Lecture 1
It is very difficult for a believer to live in the world by faith. Because the world is not a place where only believers who believe in God exist. Believers exist and live with those who do not know God. Those who do not know God do not cease to be ignorant, but ignore their belief in God and sometimes persecute them. In that case, what should the believer do? The world does not understand believers. Even the fact that a believer comes to God to worship is considered useless. Rather, it is often ridiculed and deliberately disturbing. Living by faith in such a world means a complete break with them.
But many people are afraid of breaking up with them. Because they think they need their help. They think of believing in God and living in the world as two separate issues. Believing in God is a matter within the church, and living in the world is regarded as one's private life. At most, living as a believer in the world is about doing good things and going to a chapel on Sundays, but this is not called faith.
Faith means separation from the world. Faith is to get out of the world. A person who likes things of the world, thinks that he can live only with things of the world, and does not hesitate to compromise and compromise his faith in order to hold back and protect the things of the world cannot be called faith. You're just pretending to be a believer, it's not easy to get out of the world. Because our human nature rejoices and wants everything there. But when we say that getting out is salvation, we have to think about this.
