Title: It's already been given, so do it!
Isaiah 63:7-9 / Matthew 2:13-23
It is the first Sunday after Christmas. The weather has turned very cold. However, God's blessing for our church is so hot and great. I've done many kinds of plays, but this time I was able to do a puppet show thanks to the determination and dedication of Lee Mi-sook. It is a play made by many people working hard as voice actors as staff and actors. I would especially like to commend MTU teacher among them. Mr. Kim Soo-yeon is not a very quick person. Eating is also slow. However, I think carefully and process things slowly so as not to exceed a minute. So I believe this play will go well. And I believe that Lee Mi-sook and Han Sang-hoon are also praying hard in Indonesia.
The Wizard of Oz fairy tale is a delightful story not only for children, but for people of all ages. This famous fairy tale has also appeared in cartoons and movies. And it was made into a puppet show in a troupe cart. Teacher Lee Mi-sook also put a lot of effort in the troupe. So, borrowing some flow, we were able to perform as well.
Dorothy lived with Uncle Henry and Aunt Em in a gray Kansas. Then, one day, he was carried by a tornado and landed in the land of Oz with his dog Toto. But, to my surprise, the house fell on the bad witch in the eastern country. There were witches from east to west to north and south. The witches from the East and the West were bad, and the witches from the South and the North were good witches. But the greatest wizard was Oz, who lived in the Emerald City.
Dorothy, wanting to go home to Kansas, put on the silver shoes of the Dead Witch of the East and followed the yellow bricks to the land of Oz. The Witch of the North gave Dorothy a gentle kiss on the forehead so that no one could touch her.
Along the way, Dorothy met a strange-looking scarecrow. The scarecrow hung in the field day and night, chasing only the crows. The Scarecrow thought that his brain was made of straw and that he was an ignorant fool. So I left with Dorothy and my dog Toto to ask the wizard Oz for a brain.
As the three of them were walking along the yellow brick road for a long time, a strange noise was heard in the forest. A man made of tin stood motionless with an axe. As the Tin Woodman had said, Dorothy brought a barrel of oil and anointed her with oil. It is said that the Tin Woodman could not even marry the woman he loved because of a witch in the eastern country and had to live with tin. So the Tin Woodman goes on a trip to meet Oz, hoping to get a heart, marry the woman he loves, and live happily ever after.
And we meet another one. The cowardly lion was big and timid and trembled at Dorothy and her friends. In the end, he concludes that even a lion cannot be happy as long as he lives as a coward and joins the journey.
On the way to the land of Oz, we overcame the hurdles of death many times, but each time we work together to overcome them wisely and bravely. He arrives in the land of Oz, but Oz unexpectedly promises to grant his wish if he comes to kill the witch in the west.
The Scarecrow so desperately wanted a brain, the Tin Woodman wanted a heart, the Lion courage, and Dorothy wanted a way back to Kansas, so they embark on another journey.
The West Witch orders her men to kill Dorothy and her friends to keep strangers from entering. A swarm of wolves, crows and bees are safely defeated, but captured by winged monkeys, the Tin Woodman and Scarecrow are killed, and the Lion and Dorothy are taken prisoner.
The Witch of the West tries to steal Dorothy's silver shoes, but melts and dies in the water she sprayed. With the help of the Winkies, Dorothy brings the Tin Woodman and Scarecrow back to life. Happy that they can finally have a heart, brain, and courage, the party goes to meet Oz, but Oz avoids cooking. It turns out that Oz, like Dorothy, was blown away by the wind and fell into this strange and beautiful country. When people saw Oz descending from the cloud, they mistook him for a great wizard, and from then on, he ruled the people and lived in hiding to avoid being discovered.
The Wizard of Oz gives Dorothy and her friends brains, hearts and courage as gifts. But it did not solve Dorothy's problem. In fact, brain, heart and courage are also plausible stories created by Oz. But the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Lion, who were not aware of this, began to change. In fact, as Oz said, through the journey, the scarecrow gained wisdom and the tin woodman had the courage to buy a warm heart, but he did not know it.
What Oz says to the Scarecrow is wonderful.
?쏽ou don?셳 need a brain. Because I'm learning something new every day. Not many people know that babies have brains. You can learn something only through experience. The longer you live, the more experience you gain.??for the lion
?쏧n my opinion, you are already a courageous lion. What you need is confidence, not courage. All living things are afraid of being in danger. Overcoming such fears and facing dangers is true courage. But you already have a lot of that courage.??The heart that the Tin Woodman wants makes many sick, hurt, and grieved. But the Tin Woodman doesn't have a heart, but through his adventures he has a kinder and warmer heart than anyone else in the world.
Thus, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Lion became kings of the country with wisdom like wisdom, courage like courage, and a heart like a heart. Of course, Dorothy will return to Aunt Em with the shoes she was wearing, and her wish will come true.
The road to the land of Oz was a way to make dreams and hopes come true. If you already have a dream in your mind, your dream is coming true. Along the way, half the dream had come true. They were already growing in the midst of adventure and walking. I gained wisdom through experience, a warm heart through love, and courage through overcoming fear. Dreams can have as much as we painted.
As the new year approaches, I hope you will find the talents and abilities that God has already given us to suit each person and strive to build the kingdom of God. God wants us to be saved.
