Title: It can't be./Romans 6:1~11
Content - It can't be. - (Romans 6:1-11)
You may fall into a brain death state. Brain death is a condition in which the lungs and heart are moving, but the brain functions are completely stopped.
If you are brain-dead, you have no hope of living again. no it's dead
The moment we confess Jesus as our Savior and receive Him into our hearts, the body of sin dies.
Whether I wanted it or not, this amazing thing appears within us.
“We who were dead to sin” (Romans 6:2) “We were buried with him…into death” (Romans 6:4).
“Our old self was crucified with Jesus” (Romans 6:6). When we believe in Jesus, our old self dies.
No, the body of sin is dead. has been buried. was nailed to the cross.
Take a closer look. It is the past perfect tense. These things have already happened within us.
But even after believing in Jesus, the body of sin is still alive and wriggling.
This body of sin drags us under the law of sin.
Spiritually, the body of sin is no different from the state of brain death. A death sentence has already been issued.
Despite this, the heart and lungs, which have been facing the world so far, are still beating non-stop towards the world.
Therefore, even if you are in God's grace, if the devil deceives you with sweet words, you will pass without any reason.
We fall into the trap set by Satan and we get caught again.
Few people in the Bible have received God's grace as much as David.
God elevated him from the position of a shepherd to the highest position of king of Israel.
You made the country prosperous. He gave you wealth and glory. He also gave you wisdom and courage.
“I love you, O LORD, my strength” (Psalm 18:1) “The Lord is my shepherd; I will not lack” (Psalm 23:1).
This confession is not something anyone can make.
Only those who have a deep relationship with God can do this.
But in an instant, David collapsed in front of a woman named Bathsheba.
David was also sentenced to 'brain death' for his sin.
But still his body was alive.
Longing for the old customs that will rot, longing for the world, and the beating heart still did not stop.
We are no exception. But there was a bigger problem than this.
It is that we who believe in Jesus cleverly rationalize our own actions in this sin.
That too with the word of God.
“The law came in to increase the transgression; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more” (Romans 5:20).
'Look! Isn't it said that where sin abounds, grace abounds?
Therefore, when I sin like this, I receive more grace from God. Therefore, the children of God do not need to worry about the problem of sin anymore, because where there is a lot of sin, grace is always in direct proportion.” There is room for misunderstanding.
However, the emphasis of this verse is that when a person who has committed many sins is forgiven, his gratitude and emotion are greater.
In Luke 7, Jesus is eating at the house of a Pharisee.
Then a woman pours perfume on Jesus' feet and washes them with her tears.
When the Pharisee saw this, he said in a sarcastic tone:
“If this man had been a prophet, he would have known who and what this woman who was touching him was a sinner” (Luke 7:39).
At this time, the Lord said, 'I have something to say to you,' and tells the parable of the debtor of five hundred denarii and the debtor of fifty denarii.
“Which of the two would you be more grateful for and love?” "Well, of course he was forgiven five hundred denarii, right?"
"That's right, you didn't give me water to wash my feet, and you didn't kiss my feet. But I anointed me with perfume and washed my feet with my tears.
Do you know what the reason is? He who is forgiven little loves little” (Luke 7:47).
People need to be hungry to know the gratitude of rice, and only to feel thirsty enough to feel thirsty to realize the coolness of the water.
Similarly, the meaning of the phrase 'where sin abounds, grace abounds' means that when a person who has never been able to get out of the deep pit of sin receives the forgiveness of their sins, the feeling of gratitude and emotion is greater.
However, it seems that Paul himself, who wrote this article, was concerned that this verse 5:20 could cause unnecessary misunderstanding.
So, Romans 6 begins like this.
“What then shall we say? Shall we remain in sin to increase grace? No way. How shall we, who were dead to sin, live longer in them?” (Romans 6:1-2)
This is a tone that seems to be unilaterally declaring that we can no longer argue about this part.
"What do you mean? What nonsense logic are you using?"
The conclusion of this Romans 6 is more determined. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
Just because grace abounds where there are many sins, we must not commit the mistake of continuing to commit sins.
There is no repeating these things of sinning, being forgiven, and being sinned and forgiven.
Because it is like crucifying Jesus again.
In the past, cirrhosis of the liver led to a very critical situation.
His face was darkened and he was bleeding. I worked too hard on my body until that happened.
Broadcast schedules, and furthermore, I did a lot of drinking and smoking. There is no way your body can heal.
He shook his head at the hospital. The only option left was a liver transplant.
Where to get it? When I was worried, my son came out.
It's like taking your life away.
After the transplant operation was over, the father met in the intensive care unit here, and the son in the intensive care unit over there.
I can't forget the butler holding my son's hand and saying 'thank you'.
You don't know how bright and bright the butler's face is now.
He is also undergoing the difficult discipleship training.
“For we all received from his fullness, grace upon grace” (John 1:16) What is the true meaning of these words?
What is the grace before, and what does the grace behind mean?
There are two types of grace we receive from God. One is the grace of forgiveness.
The grace of forgiveness is the grace the prodigal son received in Luke 15.
This is the grace given to the 'woman who commits adultery in the field' in John 8.
The one who owes ten thousand talents is simply the forgiveness of grace. We are the recipients of this grace of forgiveness.
But it is not just the grace of forgiveness.
The second is the grace that pours out. This is the grace received by obeying the Word.
It is a grace that appears to those who strive to live according to the Word.
It can be called the grace of victory, the grace of blessing. This is the grace that Samuel received.
This is the grace that Joseph received. The grace that Daniel received was the grace that was poured out.
Isn't this grace the 'grace above grace'? The grace of forgiveness, of course, is important.
But this grace can be said to be the grace that brings us back to the beginning.
It is the grace that brings us back to the place of the son and the place of the righteous.
However, it is not enough to receive this grace alone, like a squirrel spinning a wheel every day.
We must strive to become the protagonists of the grace poured out on this grace, the grace of victory.
What must we do to become the main character of this pouring grace?
First, we must declare the cessation of religious affiliation with respect to sin.
“In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11).
is to declare. We must, with our lips, declare severance.
But we must not stop here. We must fight sin to the point of shedding blood.
If he joins a gang and ends up breaking out of the gang, will the gang just let him go?
no. But if you think I can't join the organization, I have to fight to the point of bloodshed.
But my strength is not enough. So we must rely on the Holy Spirit.
We must rely on the Holy Spirit.
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).
When you rely on the Holy Spirit, He will give you the strength to fight and overcome sin.
We can't do that anymore.
You cannot rationalize yourself to be more graceful. We must all declare that we are dead to sin and alive to righteousness. Instead of staying in the grace of forgiveness, we must long to receive the grace above grace.
There must be a confession that it is possible only by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
You must yearn for this Holy Spirit. Such people will be victorious as the Lord has triumphed.
