Life is never an easy and fun way.
Pharaoh asks Jacob who came down to Egypt to escape the drought and stood in front of Pharaoh. “How old are you now?” Then Jacob replies: (Genesis 47:9) “Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my sojourn are one hundred and thirty years. I am young, and I am not short of the age of the sojourners of our fathers, but I have lived a difficult time.”
Jacob, who succeeded in faith, also confessed that life was a rough road, so it seems that Jacob lived a troubled traveler's road. However, along the way, the first is the grace that God has chosen and kept, and the second is the 12 tribes of God through faith and faith in the worst storms and storms. Looking at Jacob's short but short journey, we sincerely hope that Jacob's success will become our success, build a shining family, and be the last victor like Jacob.
Jacob's Birth and Journey
Jacob, who was born as twins with Esau, was always pushed by Esau and missed the blessing of his firstborn. Then, for deceiving his father and brother, he flees to the house of Laban, his maternal uncle in Paddan Aram. And while he was fleeing, he met God in Bethel.
Jacob's precarious home environment
He will be living abroad and living with his maternal uncle Jacob for 20 years. He has 12 sons and his backgrounds are not comfortable. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah were from Leah, while Dan and Naphtali were from Rachel's servant Bilhah. Gad and Asher were of Leah's servant Zilpah, and Issachar and Zebulun were also of Leah. And Joseph and Benjamin were of Rachel.
Crisis that came to Jacob's family
Jacob leaves Laban's house and returns to his hometown. On the way, we are victorious in the pursuit of Laban and the attack of Esau through prayer, and the tribulation in the land of Shechem is overcome by repenting and leaving. And he loses his most intelligent son, Joseph.
God's Grace to Jacob
Joseph became prime minister in Egypt, and Jacob and his family go down to Egypt during a severe drought.
Children of Jacob who made up the 12 tribes of Israel
Although Jacob's family did not leave after great storms and tribulations, first, God's choice and the grace of constant care, and secondly, by following the life journey in the midst of great tribulation and storms by faith, step by step, we became the world's most prestigious family that made up the 12 tribes of Israel. I became a blessed person.
