Jacob building a stone pillar
Genesis 31:43-55
Laban and Jacob are father-in-law and son-in-law, but after 20 years of receiving each other, Jacob finally leaves this place to go home. But Laban said that he ran away without saying hello to Laban, and after seven days, Laban followed after him. In an era where there are no convenient cars or machines as it is now, being able to follow a street that is 3 days behind in 7 days shows how terrifying Laban's obsession is.
It shows the greatness of the tenacity that you must find it.
Those of us who believe in Jesus need this kind of effort. This is a message that tells us that in order to receive blessings and receive power, we need faith to run to the end like Laban.
Finally, he finds Jacob. Jacob faces a crisis. But God did not forget Jacob.
Protect and guide. God is a God of promise.
In Genesis 28:10-22, God did not forget the promise he made when he appeared.
Therefore, God appears in Laban's dream and records him, and he passes through the crisis.
The lesson for us is that while humans continue to sin, we see that God forgives the chosen ones. It is God who intervenes in him, protects him and gives him responsibility.
Look at verses 43-44.
I was excited and angry, but I can't help it because it's my own child. No matter how much you hate them, no matter how bad you do, your children are your children. Laban has been angry and has spoken to Jacob in various ways.
But today, when I think soberly, things are starting to look right.
