Title: Jacob of the Naaru of Jabbok

Contents Hymn of the Week: Chapter 455, May 22, 1995

Subject: Jacob of the Jabbok Naru, Youngjin Church Dawn

Main text: Genesis 32:1-32

Having left all his possessions and family over, Jacob was left alone at the Jabbok Naru.

Here he experienced a broken hip bone while wrestling with a man all night.

I was blessed to be given a new name.

He is desperately in love with God because he can't escape now, and there's nothing he can do about it.

Verse 27 reveals the true nature of Jacob.

Now he is no longer Jacob, the fleshly old man.

He became a new person with a new name, Prince of God.

After the discipline, he finally wept and repented (Hos 12:4) and received the blessing of ‘Israel’.

(Hos 12:4) I wrestled with the angels and won, and wept and prayed to him, and God took him from Bethel

met and spoke to us there

Obviously Jacob lost, but God said he won.
