Main text: Genesis 32:1-32
Having left all his possessions and family over, Jacob was left alone at the Jabbok Naru.
Here he experienced a broken hip bone while wrestling with a man all night.

1. Why Jacob was left alone.
Many say that Jacob was to pray.

2. Jacob surrenders.

3. From Jacob to Israel (27,29).
Verse 27 reveals the true nature of Jacob.
Now he is no longer Jacob, the fleshly old man.
He became a new person with a new name, Prince of God.
After the discipline, he finally wept and repented (Hos 12:4) and received the blessing of ‘Israel’.
