Title: James 01:10 The Rich Man's Pride

Content Knowledge, fame, and wealth make us proud, and that is ultimately a snare. Pride is the vanguard of destruction. The devil tempts and stumbles through wealth. The rich young man in the Bible eventually lost salvation because of this. But the wise have a different view of wealth. Wealth is not something that can be enjoyed forever in the world. No matter how rich you are, it is meaningless because you cannot live on this earth forever.

James 1:11 says, “When the sun rises and a hot wind blows and dries up the grass, the flower falls and loses its beauty, and so will the rich perish in their deeds.” The rich man enjoys riches in this world, accomplishes great works, and lives a miserable life, but soon disappears. Therefore, a wise person is one who does not rely on wealth itself to be arrogant, but acknowledges his weakness and manages his wealth well.

With wealth, power, and knowledge, Satan makes us proud and makes us fall into his own greed. In the old days, beggars would go to get food by kicking cans. There was also up and down in them. They brag about comparing cans among themselves. Isn't it funny? But neither can we. We live proudly with little things. How much would you have if you had, and how much more would you know if you knew?

Satan always tests us with material things. It makes us humble when we are poor, and proud when we are rich. So it drives them away from God's grace. But what if we could open our spiritual eyes to see wealth and poverty from God's perspective. The poor can be rich in God, and the rich can be humble because of their spiritual poverty. So, you will be able to live a happy life that prepares for eternity, regardless of the wealth and poverty of this earth that is passing by for a while.

Dear brothers and sisters, this earth is not a world in which we will live forever. The world we must go to is the eternal kingdom of God. For the sake of that country, I bless you to live on this earth for a while and not take it too seriously whether you are rich or poor. I bless you in the name of the Lord that we do not put our vision on the earth too much, but put it in the sky and live with the blessings of heaven.
