Title: Jehoshaphat and Ahab (2 Chronicles 18:1-34)

Content Introduction: At that time, Jehoshaphat had the greatest wealth and glory, and he had an in-law relationship with Ahab, and his son took Ahab's daughter (2 Kings 8:18). Even so, Jehoshaphat, the good king, and Jehoshaphat, the evil king, married Ahab, the king of Israel, who was famous as an evil king.

1. Jehoshaphat's Visit to Samaria 1-3 Jehoshaphat, who was extremely wealthy and honored, visited Ahab in Samaria a couple of years later because he had already had a daughter-in-law and had an in-laws relationship.

Ahab's precious brother-in-law also came, but the fact that he has an ambitious heart is to induce Jehoshaphat to join in the fight against Jamot in Gilead.

So, for Jehoshaphat and his servants, he raised many sheep and held a grand banquet to win favor.

Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to Ramoth Gilead?" He answered, "I am with you, and my people are your people, and I will fight with you." did it

He was not supposed to sit on the path of sinners and in the seat of the arrogant, but he responded to his invitation and received entertainment, and his in-laws' petition not being rejected for recognition is a form of disgrace.

2. Ask the Prophet whether or not to participate. 4-27 (1) The prophecies of false prophets 4-13 Jehoshaphat's suggestion to Ahab to ask the prophet to inquire about God's will is evidence that he still has faith.

When Ahab summoned the 400 prophets who followed him and asked them, they all prophesied of victory with unanimity. These are not true prophecies, they are lies flattering the king. Zedekiah secured victory by making an iron pillar, a symbol of victory. False prophets who have the power and the heart of the king are common now and then. Woe to the king who rejoices at this.

(2) The prophecy of the true prophet Micaiah 14-27 Micaiah always prophesied only correct prophecies, so he always prophesied only bad things to the evil king Ahab. He said, "Say the same thing to me." But the true prophet claimed, "I will speak only the truth in the name of the Lord," and showed his ignorance.

Micaiah finally stood before the king and confessed what he had seen in a vision, but God said, "Someone persuaded Ahab king of Israel to go up to Ramoth Gilead and die." One said this and the other said that. The Spirit voluntarily said, "I am lying."

Conclusion: War and Ahab's Warrior 28-34 Ahab still remembered Micaiah's prophecy, so he put on Jehoshaphat's robe and went out in plain clothes. So he was saved, and Ahab disguised himself in plain clothes, but in the end he was killed by an arrow from the enemy.

The words of the wicked Ahab eventually led to a disastrous destruction.
