Title: Jehovah Doing a New Thing
Bible: Isaiah 43:18-21
2007. 1. 14. daytime
The new year is back. All things have been made new. But now it doesn't look like much has changed, does it? But after a while, new shoots will sprout from the frozen ground. In Jangsan, the singing of unknown birds will praise God. If you change it to a new one, everything is fine. A new house is good, and a car is a new car.
But don't replace your husband with a new one? Please don't change your wife for a new woman just because you don't like her.
Previously, a husband had an affair and came home late, so his wife came up with a scheming. By the time my husband came home in the evening, I was like a street woman wearing a lot of lipstick, pretty makeup, and sexy clothes. At this time, my husband appeared in the distance. My husband was a little drunk. Then this wife approached her husband. Then she transformed into a sexy figure and seduced her. However, the strange thing is that he does not know that this husband is his wife and is easily overcome by the temptation. So she lured her husband to an inn and slept with her. When my husband wakes up in the morning, what's the matter? Isn't his wife sleeping next to him? From then on, this husband's affair was completely caught up.
new things to do in the new year
1. We must forget the past.
There are two kinds of people among people. The first is a past-oriented person and the second is a future-oriented person. You want to be a forward-looking person.
Look at the Bible verse today. “Do not remember the former things, do not think about the things of the past,” he says. 2006 is gone. Forever gone into history. We must now forget our past successes and failures.
A middle school student picked up a 500 won coin while going to New Years Eve with his father. He was very happy to pick up the money on New Year's Day. And luck seemed to follow that year. Since then, this student has always been looking at the ground. It became a habit and I lived like that until I was 50. So the money he picked up was 50 pieces of 500 won, 200 pieces of 10 won, 15 pieces of 1,000 won, and several times of 10,000 won. But he lost much more. I haven't seen a beautiful sky, I haven't heard the birds sing, I haven't seen the flowers blooming in the fields, I've never seen the beautiful colored leaves embroidered. Moreover, he had bent his back and was now unable to raise his head. So there is a saying.
‘Do not pick up a crane that has fallen to the ground, but become a flying crane.’
Just because it was successful in the past doesn't mean that it works today. So, please forget the past. Success or failure, the past is just the past. May you receive the grace of oblivion.
2. Hope for the new things to come.
Humans live on dreams. People without dreams perish. When God created man, he always made him a dreamer of new things. So God called people and always gave them dreams.
He called Abraham and promised him a land flowing with milk and honey, and he called him out of Ur of the Chaldeans.
God, who showed Jacob the throne of God in the field of Bethel, showed him the angels ascending and descending on a ladder to the throne of heaven, and said that he would not leave you until this was accomplished, finally rejected Jacob and brought him back.
Joseph was hated by his brothers, so he was trafficked and sold as a slave in Egypt, but he saw and believed in a dream God had given him, so he eventually became the prime minister of Egypt. And I saved my brothers and their families from the 7 years of famine. Hallelujah!!
Daniel did not lose his dream even though he went into captivity in Babylon and went into the lions' den. And he lived a holy life in God. Those who have dreams do not commit sins while walking in sin together. Daniel is such a person. He did not eat the royal food that the king gave him. Because there were foods that God hated. Because he decided not to defile himself with it. And finally he lived like a star in the Gentile land as his noble people of God.
Have a dream. Have a wonderful dream in 2007. And start a new job.
3. The Lord Who Gives and Fulfills Dreams
There are two ways we can make our dreams come true. First, we must depend on God. Second, you must have faith.
“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain; unless the LORD builds the city, the watchman stays watchful in vain. It is in vain that you rise early and lie down late and eat the bread of toil.”
Therefore, all human efforts and labor will be in vain unless God is with them.
