1. The word came to Jeremiah (1~3)
2. Reaffirmation of God's judgment on Jerusalem. (4-5)
3. Judah will be established as in the beginning (6-9).
1. The word came to Jeremiah. (1~3)
1) The Word of God came to us when we were in prison (1)
※ At this time, it had been a year since the Babylonian army besieged Jerusalem, and Judah was in great danger.
※ In the state of being arrested for treason by declaring the capture of Jerusalem and the captivity of King Zedekiah
① Jeremiah bought his cousin’s field according to God’s word while in prison (32:1~15)
② Another word has come.(1)
※ For Jeremiah, the prison became a place of chaos and answers.
* Peter and Paul, while in prison, God was with them, so they preserved life and added to God's work.
2) What kind of God is God? (2)
※ Emphasize that the word to be proclaimed three times by the Lord ( ) is a reliable word.
It means “I am who I am” and represents God's 'eternal emancipation' and 'absolute immutability'.
※ Jehovah God is the Lord who does ① things. Jehovah who accomplishes things.
② Jehovah is the One who exists (Exodus 3:4).
③ There is no obstacle to delay the work of God.
※ Now, no matter what place or environment they are in, the saints have comfort and hope because of the omnipresent God.
I can do anything for him.
3) cry out (3)
※ “If you cry out to them, they will be answered, and they will show you great and mighty things that you do not know.”
Not only that, but it is said that he knows what he needs and provides abundant grace.
※ These words are addressed to all godly people who ask for God's help.
※ “Cry ( Kera)” means to pray earnestly, and “Secret Thing ( Bechurot)” means a state that is strictly observed or sealed and cannot be accessed.
* Here, it refers to “God’s plan for the future.”
* He said that if we pray earnestly, he will reveal God's hidden plan.
(The people of Judah who were captives in Babylon will return to their homeland and prosper.)
※ God is waiting for our prayers every day. Therefore, we must always pray without ceasing.
(Ne 9:5-6, Isaiah 45:18-19, John 1:1-3, Acts 17:24-28, Romans 1:20, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Col 1:16, Hebrews 11:3)
2. Reaffirmation of God's judgment on Jerusalem. (4-5)
※ God said that Jerusalem would be destroyed.
① They go out to fight the Chaldeans and fight (to destroy the houses of the city and the royal palace to fight them)
② God will be killed in battle in his wrath and wrath, and the corpses will be wallowed in the city.
* Shows the misery of those who ignore the prophet's advice (Jer. 27:8, 11, 12)
③ Judah was God's chosen people, but not being protected was because they rejected God's advice and did evil.
He hid the face of God and did not look back.
※ Not taking any action for Jerusalem, which is being destroyed under the horseshoes of Bevelon, is because of their long-standing sins.
As a judgment of justice for Korea, it is to abandon them to the point of being completely destroyed.
※ If we blindly believe only in God's protection and reject God's guidance, God's discipline will
Your toil will be in vain. (Psalm 127:1,2)
(Proverbs 21:13, Matt 7:26-27, 25:27-28, 30, 31-32, 41-46, Luke 12:47, 16:19-25, Hebrews 2:3, James 2:14)
3. Judah will be established as in the beginning. (6~9)
※ As God promised, great and mysterious things have now been revealed through the prophet. it was completely destroyed
The city of Jerusalem will be healed, and the expelled people will return to their homeland and be built as before. (5 promises)
※ He promised to completely solve the problem of their sins “as in the beginning” as they were before they sinned.
1) Healing, healing, and healing. (6)
※ When the time of restoration comes, he will make Jerusalem strong again.
2) It will bring peace and abundance (6)
※ It refers to the social stability and prosperity of the city of Jerusalem.
3) To bring back the captivity of Judah and Israel. (7)
※ The northern kingdom of Israel was taken captive by the Assyrians (721 BC), and the southern kingdom of Judah was taken captive by Babylon (586 BC).
They have gone, but on the day of recovery in the future, they will all come back together to establish a unified country as it was before division.
4) Your sins will be forgiven. (8)
※ It was their sin that Israel and Judah became captives, but on that day all their sins will be forgiven and their relationship with God will be restored.
5) The city will be a pleasing name to God before the nations, a praise and glory. (9)
※ Although the destruction of Jerusalem became a laughing stock to the nations (Jeremiah 29:18), when the city was restored and enjoyed a glorious status,
When you see all the blessings and peace, you will be greatly afraid of the God who has done it.
(Acts 5:31, 13:38, Eph 1:7, 1 John 1:9, Ezra 10:11, Proverbs 28:13, Psalm 43:25, 44:22, Isaiah 55:7, Jeremiah 3:13)
We too have no qualifications when we are under God's rule,
Through them God will be glorified. (Jer 13:11, Isa 55:13)
