Title: Jerusalem (Mark 11:7-10)
Contents Jerusalem
Mark 11:7-10
Chapters 15 through 15 are the chapters of suffering.
The main text is a regular menu during the difficult week...
Jesus rides a donkey into Jerusalem
In the ancient world, when a king who conquered another race entered the castle,
Riding a white horse, a symbol of victory...
But Jesus the King of kings
♣The horse symbolizes war = the donkey symbolizes peace...♣
Jesus rode on a donkey and entered not as a king of war
Looking forward to seeing you come as the Prince of Peace...
First, the humility of Jesus.
Jesus gave up the throne of high majesty to save us
lower yourself
Philippians 2:6-8 “He, being in the form of God, did not view equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and being found in human form, he humbled himself, that he might die. obedient, that is, death on the cross.”
The Lord is the King of kings, yet he was humbled in the form of a servant?
Because we need to humble ourselves to survive...
He did not humble himself for you, but purely for all mankind...
So we take his yoke together
This attitude of willingness to sacrifice for the good of others...
ex] praying hands
If we also sacrifice for others = God's name will be glorified.
Second, entering with a humble appearance
When he entered the city of Jerusalem, he didn't have enough of that common donkey, so he rented it...
In addition, the crowd has to lay high-quality carpets, but they spread septums and tree branches and waved them to welcome them...
This is the poor crowd's welcome to Jesus with their best...
How do we welcome Jesus who enters our hearts as a small saint?
Perhaps what welcomes the Lord more than this?
James 2:20 “Alas, you foolish man, do you want to know that faith without works is futile?”
26 “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.”
The heart that listens intently to God's word and strives to keep it...
There are many Christians these days who are only living...
But when I wake up from sleep, I always get {origin...}
Today we have to keep an eye on this welcoming crowd.
They spread the twigs and wave, praising Hosanna to their heart's content...
But
In less than a week, the mob nailed Jesus to death.
Mark 15:13-14 "They cried out again, Crucify him. Pilate said, "Why, what evil has he done?"
How have they changed this way?
Jesus is not the Messiah of salvation
But I can't see it like that = Killing...
It's not just their babies.
because we are saved
but one day
Judas Cayenne = Jesus' trusted person in charge of finances...But!
ex] Evangelism to the taxi driver sometime..
Daegwang-go = Chairman. = Working hard even as a young man = Then one day, a conflict...
Putting on a lot of beads...
Why is this ingratitude coming?
that is?
Rather than focusing on Jesus as the Messiah of salvation
To focus in a different way...
But let's listen to Paul's confession.
Even if Paul suffered these things in poverty, hunger, the swamp of death, and prison,
I follow Him because of salvation...focus on salvation...
Focusing on your salvation...
ex] A pastor died in a car accident at the age of 20 for his only daughter, whom he got late.
Several pastors visited for comfort = Then the pastor
“God took it because it is yours, and after a while
We will meet again.” - This confession focuses on salvation.
All of you, Jesus' entry
♣♣To give peace to all mankind...to save all mankind...
He came in to make me live forever...
If Jesus had not entered the city
We will become children of the devil and will be a step towards hell...
But the entry of Jesus made us live...
So the focus of our lives is on salvation.
If you focus on salvation, you will not be successful.
Remember that this entry is to save me and save you.
The news of the arrival to the neighbors...
