Jesus' Teaching Method/Mark 4:33-34
“Jesus taught the Word in many parables as they could understand, except in parables.
He did not speak, but when he was alone, he interpreted everything to his disciples."
The Bible speaks of Jesus' earthly work in three ways, and the first of these is the work that appears.
It is a teaching job.
“Jesus went through all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and among the people
Healed all diseases and all infirmities..." It is written this way, and if you look at these words, Jesus
I think that teaching was the most important thing among them. That is why Jesus started teaching people during his earthly ministry.
Why? This is because unless we properly teach people and build a solid foundation of faith, we cannot do evangelism properly, and there will be problems in receiving gifts and working with power. So Jesus taught and trained his disciples for three years.
However, today's sermon shows how Jesus taught.
Looking at the Word, first, Jesus taught the Word in many parables.
There is no doubt that the word parable here is equivalent to today's illustration. to the people of the world
How can you explain and understand the kingdom of heaven?
This world and the kingdom of God have different essences and different dimensions. This world is affected by time and needs to be eaten. However, the kingdom of God does not have time, and there is no need to eat. So, no matter how much I explain, I can't understand
There is not.
So, Jesus taught the gospel of the kingdom in parables.
The kingdom of heaven is like leaven contained in a piece of flour, and it is like sowing seeds into the ground, and it is like a grain of mustard seed.
He explained the secrets of the kingdom of heaven in terms and concepts that humans can understand.
This is the parable of heaven. It was the most advanced teaching method at the time.
Jesus is the best teacher.
If Jesus preached the word in this day and age, how would he preach it?
You will probably use audiovisual training methods.
You will use the most advanced equipment among audiovisual educational equipment. A state-of-the-art video system when preaching
you will use
Why? This is because the world has already entered the age of emotional culture.
So is church education. In the old-fashioned way, students sit on chairs in the chapel and study in groups while shouting
Even if you try, the church school will not be revitalized. They say that the church school cannot be revitalized without support.
I deplore or rebuke the leader for being incompetent... Now is the time to change your mind in the church
has been
I hope that all the churches of this age can become a church that properly teaches the saints by using the most advanced teaching methods and cutting-edge equipment in this age as the teaching method of Jesus.
Second, Jesus taught step by step. Verse 33 says, “Let us speak the word as we can understand it.
Teach..."
In other words, when people understand the words of Jesus, they teach them to the next level, and Jesus taught them step by step.
There are always stages in the growth of faith. There can be no rapid growth in faith.
A scholar named Engel charted the stages of faith growth, which is called the Engel model.
Looking at that diagram,
① Faith begins with the first step of “recognizing that God exists”.
(An atheist becomes a theist...that is the starting point of faith.)
② After that, you will come to know a part of the Gospel.
③ The 3rd stage of faith growth is knowing the basics of the gospel,
(Cross, the power of the blood, victory... authority of children)
④ In the next 4 steps, you will understand the meaning of the gospel.
(If you believe in Jesus, you become a child of God and a people of the kingdom of heaven.)
⑤ When you go through these steps, you decide to believe in Jesus, register with a certain church, and start your life of faith. However, just because you register and go to church does not make you a complete Christian.
Even after starting a life of faith, they receive the Holy Spirit, become a new creature, and have good stewardship while communing with God.
There are several steps involved in becoming a mature Christian.
⑥ While recognizing the problems of my life and life, I am starting to feel deeply that my life and my actions in life must change. This is the 6th stage of faith growth.
⑦ In the next stage, certain decisions are made, and this stage is the seventh stage of faith growth.
⑧ However, after failing to put that decision into practice properly and worrying about it, one day, he suddenly shed tears, repented and received the Holy Spirit. These are the eight stages of faith growth.
It is no exaggeration to say that the true life of faith begins at this time. Only when we receive the Holy Spirit
You become a creature, and the Bible describes this as "born again." When a believer is born again of the Holy Spirit, only then
Only then will the saints know who Jesus is, and the blood that Jesus shed for me washes away my sins.
You will know that you have been given. At that time, the saints will be moved to tears by the love of Jesus.
However, being born again by the Holy Spirit does not make you a perfect Christian. Let go of bad habits and be a Christian
To develop character, to love God, to love the church, to love your neighbor, to receive gifts and talents, to perform well in stewardship, and to become a person of perfect obedience, you must go through the process of faith growth step by step. will be
Third, Jesus trained his disciples to be special ministers. Verse 34 says, “But when you are alone,
He interprets everything to his disciples.” Jesus gave special private tutoring to raise the twelve disciples as special ministers. There is a reason. The twelve disciples establish a church on the earth and evangelize the world. It was to make the disciples into special agents who
You have been specially trained to raise them. This is the third characteristic of Jesus' teaching method.
Saints!
Looking at Jesus' teaching method, there are a couple of things to think about. First, in order to grow in faith, we
You have to constantly learn and train. Second, Jesus is always ahead of his time. In order for the church to keep up with the times, we must break stereotypes and always take on new challenges.
