Title: Jesus' view of life/Mark 10:45
Content: Jesus' view of life
Text Mark 10:45
1. Today's text shows Jesus' view of life.
The most important thing for a person to live is to have a clear outlook on life.
Once upon a time, in a deep mountain in China, there was a great teacher,
There was. It was early spring, and there were green sprouts sprouting in the sunny place of the mountain behind.
is. One day, when the disciples saw a sprout sprouting from the ground, they said, "This is an apricot! It's a peach!"
I was arguing.
The teacher who watched this said, "Are you guys looking at the buds now, apricot or peach?
but that's not the problem What matters is why you are born and die, and why you sprouted.
is" he said
▶ When you come to the seminary, like these disciples, “Is this or that?, Is this correct? That
Is this right?" It is a pity that we will learn things like this. At least in our theological study, our God
We want you to know clearly that our goal and desire is to make the character and life of our students more like Jesus.
I hope
▶We place more importance on the question of 'Why was I born' rather than the question of 'Are you male or female?'
Focusing on the question of 'how humans live' rather than the question of 'Are you good or poor?'
Rather than asking ‘Is it first or second?’, it is important to ask ‘why am I studying?’. Today's Bible verse is a quick talk to followers who follow with the purpose of making a living.
Show that you are giving an answer to a teacher's question.
▶People in the world have a positive outlook on life, a scientific view on life, a pessimistic view on life, and a pessimistic view on life. Today, most people live with relative and academic interests like the former students, but in fact, you should know that the latter's teacher is a much more important fundamental.
The important thing for us to live life is to have a positive outlook on life like this teacher.
is.
2. Today's text shows how Jesus had a view of life
The people of the world view life only as 'man is born and then dies. Seeing a dead person is futile, and seeing a person decaying and disappearing takes the stance that death is the end.
Therefore, they have the life concept that the best way is to live more comfortably and abundantly while they are alive, and some people do not know that they will die when they are born, so they are greedy to build it up as if they would live on this earth for a thousand or ten thousand years. Because life is in this position, I cannot get out of my heart and fear for a single day, and the world is filled with the cruelty of life and death, creating a chaotic world.
▶However, in this text, Jesus said, "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Jesus is saying, "Come" to be born into the world.
In Mark 2:17b, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
On the other hand, regarding death, John 14:2 says, "In my Father's house there are many dwelling places; otherwise I would have told you, I am going to buy a place for you..." you will see what is there.
A spiritual person like this sees life as coming and going. In other words, it is living beyond life and death. Soon there will be no life and death.
In other words, there is no birth and death; there is only a sense of coming and going.
Do not forget that it is very important to live in this world with a view of life as a traveler and a view of life as a manager.
▶ Abraham too, (Hebrews 11:13)
Jacob too (Genesis 47:9)
James (James 4:13-17) all lived with this view of life.
3. Today's text shows what kind of purpose and way of life Jesus had
He has a clear purpose in life, not to be served, but to serve and live.
Do not seek to receive, but give and live,
Don't roll your head to be high, but to be humbled to serve
If you ask for a different coat, you have to take off your underwear, and if you ask for a duck, you have to go ten miles.
The Lord said that he would give his life as a ransom for many, and actually gave his life as a ransom.
that you have given We've been living for ourselves for so long. I have lived as a 利己Principalist. Now let's become a stick for others. Let's lay down this one life for others.
This is the way we should live, this is our way of living, and only when it becomes the purpose of life, we become the true person of Jesus.
▶ This semester, like our school's motto, let's meet God and be like Jesus! Like Jesus, I do not want to be served, I live a life of service, I do not spare my life, I do it for many people.
So, I command you to live on my own, in the name of Jesus.
