Title: Jesus Always Doing What His Father Pleases

Contents

John 8:29-32 Jesus always does what pleases the Father

Jesus clearly confessed and declared his identity. I have declared that God is my Father and that I am his beloved and pleased Son. The Jews distrusted Jesus, judging him according to the flesh, who said that the one he believed to be God was his Father. Just as the testimony of two men is true in the Law, Jesus said that if I alone say that God is my Father, I am nothing, but if God acknowledges me as my Son and gives me the glory, then I am the Son of the Father. If my father says that I am not his son, he says that I become a liar like you. You said there are.

1. What pleases your father

“I am the way, the truth, and the life,” said Jesus. Chapter 8 is the way to the Father for a sinner caught in adultery; Chapter 9 opens the eyes of the blind and opens their eyes to the truth; Chapter 11, the Lord who raises the dead judges is the one who gives life to the dead. You testified that you are the Savior. These three things are what the Father told him to do, and he proved that he is a son who grants his father's wishes.

1) He delights in saying that all people will be saved.

In chapter 8, the Jews chased the woman caught in the act of adultery and tried to strike her with stones and forgave her. The purpose of Jesus' coming is to open the way for sinners to receive the forgiveness of sins and come to the Father.

2) He wants everyone to come to know the truth.

In the 9th chapter of John's Gospel, Jesus tells a man who was born blind to spit on the ground, mix it with clay, put it on his eyes, and then go to the waters of Siloam and wash. Do Jews Break the Sabbath? He tormented the blind, their parents, and Jesus, but just as Jesus opened the eyes of the blind, He made the spiritually blind know the truth so that they can enjoy the freedom that the truth gives.

The enemy devil has blocked people's ears, covered their eyes, sealed their mouths, made them spiritual slaves and captives, and made them spiritually blind. They do not allow them to hear the heavenly information, good news, and the gospel, but Jesus made it known to his disciples and commanded them to go to all nations and preach this news.

3) A sacrifice of good deeds and distribution (Hebrews 13:16)

Jesus, who raised Lazarus from the dead in chapter 11, did the work that pleased the Father by giving his life for us on the cross. God is pleased with the life of sharing the gospel. He delights in being a channel through which life flows through us. If you do what pleases God, even if you take away the things of others, He gives them. The early church was a church that shared the gospel and the material of love through missions and almsgiving. Churches taught by the Presbyterian Church in the United States became a giving church, and churches taught by the Presbyterian Church in the South became a receiving church.

2. Father Who Won't Leave Me Alone

God the Father never left a son who knew his father's wishes and was doing what his father pleased him. He did not leave his beloved son alone when he crossed the water. He did not leave you alone during difficult and difficult work, when you prayed in Gethsemane, when you were crucified, when you went down to the tomb, and when you were resurrected. It is a strong protection, a blessing, and an inheritance for a child to have a father accompanying me. Enoch, who walked with God for 300 years and ascended to heaven, pleased God and was not in the world because God did not leave him alone in the world but took him.

When God takes you and leads you, good things always happen to good places. In 2011, let us enjoy the blessing of not leaving us alone and leading us to a more precious, blessed and glorious place by doing what our Father wishes and pleases us.
