Title: Jesus Calls You / Matthew 11:28-30

Content: Jesus is calling you.

Who is the true free man? Tolstoy's "A Stone and Two Women" has this love story. Two women have kicked an old woman. One of them wept over her sins, while the other said she was innocent. The old woman made them do the following: To the woman who said there were many sins, "Bring me a large and heavy stone", and to the woman who said there was no sin, "Please pick up a handful of small stones." When they brought the stone, the old woman said, "Now put the stone back in its place." The woman who brought the large stone returned with the stone right in its place. But the woman who had picked up the small stone did not know where the stone was given, so she wandered around and came back. Then the old woman said, "He who says he is guilty is free because he knows the position of his conscience."

A tax collector's prayer is better than a Pharisee's prayer. Dear brothers and sisters, God does not judge people by their outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7). The Lord said that a righteous harlot who longs for righteousness (Jesus) in his heart is better than a hypocrite Pharisee who is full of envy and strife on the inside, but on the outside disguises himself with good deeds, fasts, and tithes (Luke 18:9-14).

First: All life is toil and burdened.

All life is a sin. Most people today think that they are not criminals if they are free under the laws of the country (constitution). Or, if you live morally or ethically, you are mistaken for a good person. But the Bible doesn't say that. It is said that he has already murdered those who have a hatred of others (Matthew 5:22), and that anyone who has lust for a woman has already committed adultery (Matthew 5:22). Gospel 5:28). That is why Paul said, "There is none righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10), David said, "I was born in iniquity; my mother conceived me in sin" (Psalm 51:5), and John said, "If If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us...if we say we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and his word is not in us" (1 John 1:8-) 10) said.

The wages of sin is death. God made a covenant with Adam (Genesis 2:16-17), but Adam broke the covenant (Genesis 3:6-7). So in the end God's wrath and curse came (Genesis 3: 16-19) This is the result of a sinful human being. ① The earth is cursed. God created man as the lord of all things. However, humans forgot that mission and gave up. Because of man's transgression, the entire creation was brought under a curse. Without toil the earth did not bear fruit, and the joys of Eden were lost.

② Thorn and thistle sprouted. Human beings who were abandoned in Eden were pierced by sprouting thorns and thistles, and it became a life of suffering that could not live without the shedding of blood. The thorns pierce the human life, and the thistle binds us, making us turn our backs on God with the cares of the world, so that we cannot look to Eden. ③ You must suffer from sweating. I couldn't eat the plant without sweat dripping down my forehead. Students have to work hard to study, business people have to work hard and sweat, and politicians have to fight hard to survive.

Second: Let's learn the heart of Jesus.

The heart of the Lord is gentle. Here, the word onew (Parasus - ) means ① the patient's fever has been lowered. When a patient is unconscious with a fever, it is a paradoxical state when the patient is given an antipyretic to maintain a normal body temperature. It is like a person who ran wild with worldly emotions and is meek when the worldly heat is captured by the word. ② It is when the sweat running down your forehead has cooled down. When a farmer is sweating like beads under the scorching sun, a sudden blowing cloud obscures the sun, cooling the sweat and capturing the heat with the wind. It is like the Israelites finding rest under the pillar of cloud in the wilderness. ③ It has been tamed by education and training. It means that a wild beast is trained by a tamer so that it can understand its master's will. Domestic animals know their master's will, but wild animals do not know their master's will. Under the power of Satan, a sinner like a wild beast is in a meek state when the way is paved and obeying the word of God.

The heart of the Lord is humble. ① Let's look at the birth of the Lord. He came to Judea, the smallest country on the throne of heaven, to Bethlehem, the smallest town, and to the ugliest stable (Matthew 2:1, Luke 2:7). ② Let's look at the work of the Lord. The Lord gave the example of serving as a teacher, putting a towel around his waist and washing the disciples' feet. Moreover, as a king, the whole world belongs to the Lord. Foxes have dens and flying birds have nests, but the Son of Man works without a place to lay his head (Luke 9:58). ③ Let's see the Lord's death. At the end of his death, he was nailed to a cross between the robbers on the left and right to die a substitute for death, and there was no cave (tomb) in which to lie down, so he lay in someone else's tomb (Matthew 27:38, Mark 15:46).

It is an obedient heart. The heart of Jesus is meek and humble. The word that unites meekness and humility is obedience. Paul testifies of the Lord: “Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as robbery, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human form, and being found in human form, humbled him and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of a cross” (Philippians 2:5-8).

Third: Get rest and true rest.

There are burdens to take off and yokes to bear. ① We must take off the burden of the law. We do not have true freedom until we cast off the burden of the law that we had before knowing Jesus. What the law gave us was a burden the more we heard it, the more we knew it, the heavier it became, and the more we practiced it, the more painful it became. That is why the Lord hid it from the legalists, who were the wise men at that time, and revealed it to the disciples like little children (Matthew 11:25).

We must put on the yoke of the gospel. The yoke that the gospel has given us is the yoke of love. This yoke is light, and the more it is worn, the more joy it is; the more it is tied, the more peace and rest. This isn't about losing, it's about sharing in what the Lord has accomplished. The Lord has called me (calling), entrusting me with an office (mission), and fulfilling His will (fulfillment). We are only obedient as instruments of the Lord. This is the way of the cross that the missionary walks.

Dear saints,

Jesus is calling you at this hour. Jesus wants you to entrust all the burdens that come from your toil and heavy problems of your children, your wife and husband, and your business. If I accept Jesus as my Lord, my former toughness will be transformed into meekness and humility. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may have the peace that the Lord gives you and win your week. Hallelujah!
