Hold on to the fact that the church is the body of Christ and the head of the church is Christ. Regardless of the number or the small number, regardless of whether the building is grand or shabby, the church is a healthy church if the relationship with the head is well established. A normal body is subject to the control and direction of the head. A church is not a healthy church if it depends more on people than on God. Don't put Christ aside and try to take the lead yourself. If there is such a church, it is a dysfunctional church and an unhealthy church.
What is the task that the community expects of us, or that Christ, its Head, has entrusted to us? You must carry out that task by asking Christ, who is the head. Don't try to run the church the way the world runs. Through service, the saints reach the state of maturity. I hope that we too will follow the spirit of the Lord's service (Matthew 20:28) and become servants, so that our church will become a church that fulfills the Lord's will.
Ⅴ. Christ as the head to be obeyed
The church is a living organism. So, it is natural for a healthy church to grow.
See 2:19. “The whole body, supplied by the joints and tendons through the head, is united and grows through the growth of God.” Hold onto Jesus Christ, the head of the church. Always think of Jesus Christ, the head, but think deeply. (Psalm 77:12, Heb 3:1)) Always long for our Head, Jesus Christ, rather than humility and worshiping angels or keeping the commandments. If you want to be freed from a life of helplessness, come to the Lord. Hear his voice and come to him. (Matthew 11:28, Isaiah 55:1~3)
Ⅵ. The mission of the church as a member of Christ
The work of the church, the body of Christ, is not complicated, but simple. If Christ is the source and source that gives life to the church, then the church's mission is to continually long for the presence of Christ. God will restore the church if you cry out earnestly with pure faith. We should proceed with gratitude to God who has provided us up to this time today so that the vitality of the church community is not exhausted.
In addition, each individual must undergo spiritual restoration before God. The growth of a church is proportional to the growth of the faith of its members. Therefore, let us pray for personal growth in faith. There is no church growth without my faith growth. The way we pray and worship shows the degree of church growth. At the dawn of the Lord's resurrection from the dead, we, too, must become powerful people overflowing with the Lord's new life. As long as we abide in the Lord and the Lord's word is with us, all our supplications are granted. (John 15:7) The Lord tells us not to be anxious about anything. (Phil 4:6,7)
All saints! From now on, take hold of Him who is Head, and obey His rule. Think deeply about the Head, Jesus Christ. When we live this kind of life, the life force of Christ overflows within us, and through the Lord's protection and guidance, we become a life full of happiness and a life full of cups. Jesus Christ, the head, is worthy to give us new life, growth, and power. Let's live a life that praises Christ, the head, every day. Praise is the song of those who are victorious in Christ.
