Jesus Christ is the answer to life.
Bible Text: John 4:13-30
1. Our lives are thirsty in many ways.
Spiritual thirst is more intense than physical thirst and thirst.
2. Jesus is the One who comes to the thirsty field of mankind.
(1) The Sugaseong woman receives the blessing of resolving her thirst through conversation with Jesus.
(2) What do we thirst for in the world? is it money? Is it lust? Is it a wealthy movie?
⑶ There are two reasons for thirst. One has a thirst because we are the image of God. This is a holy good thirst. Another is the thirst that comes from sin.
⑷ There is a way God heals. First, the thirst that comes from the image of God is satisfied by returning to God's children by being embraced in God's arms. Second, the thirst that comes from sin can only be achieved by changing our inner self.
3. A thirsty spirit must go to God.
(1) We must worship God because God is looking for worshipers (verse 23).
(2) When we worship, we must worship in spirit and truth (verse 24). The attitude of spiritual worship transcends places and worships with the Holy Spirit (verses 20, 21). Also, worship with the truth is worship with the Word of God. And we must worship in the name of Jesus. Because Jesus is the truth (John 14:6).
⑶ God reveals his glory through our worship. He reveals Himself (verses 25, 26).
4. The Suga-seong woman took Jesus as her savior and became an evangelist.
(1) The Suga-seong woman who met Jesus grows up as a true disciple who evangelizes others.
(2) Those who have met Jesus as the answer to life become the Lord's witnesses (verse 29).
5. Jesus Christ is the answer to our lives.
(1) Jesus died on the cross to solve all our problems (Isaiah 53:5). We are misunderstood and criticized by people for our transgressions. But there is a way for even those faults to be covered. It is the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. Even sins were taken away by Jesus on the cross. He bears our original sin, and if everyone who has sinned confesses their sins, the Lord is faithful and forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Because our Jesus was disciplined for human discord, He brought us peace. He reconciled the enmity relationship by sacrificing it as a propitiation sacrifice. Sickness also took care of our sickness through the Passion of Jesus being whipped on the cross. So we experience miracles of healing in the name of Jesus Christ.
(2) There is one thing we must earnestly seek at this time. That is what God is coming into my life. Because when the Lord comes to me, He comes to solve problems. Let's pray that Jesus, who solves the problems in my life now, will come to me. And let's decide to become an evangelist. Let's embrace and pray for VIPs who will share Christ who is the answer to life.
