Title: Jesus Comes to Bethlehem
Description Jesus came to Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
The text is addressed to the people of Israel who were in trouble 700 years ago.
It is foretelling the birth of the perfect king, the Messiah, through the unclean.
The king of Israel and the people who had been shamed by the invaders no longer
The Creator went to Bethlehem so that he would not be defeated or put to shame.
It is said that He is coming as the Savior.
He said, “Bethlehem Ephrathah,” and ‘Ephrathah’ means ‘house of bread’.
Bethlehem's old name means "bearing much fruit."
Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth, in the small town of Bethlehem,
Why do you think you came as a human?
Why, after all, Bethlehem?
1. It is for those who are ignorant of the Word.
The people of Israel are God's chosen people.
He was promised great blessings, but he received those blessings through ignorance of the Word.
Everything was lost (Isaiah 5:13, Ephesians 4:18).
They starved because of the famine (Amos 8:11) because they did not hear the word.
Believe in Jesus who spoke in advance through the prophet and came as he said
To those who receive it, God wants to give the right to become children (John 1:12) and eternal life.
He came to Bethlehem (John 6:58).
2. It is for those whose roots have dried up.
Jesus came to Bethlehem, the house of bread, to heal the one who had dried up to the root (Jude 1:12).
He made us full (Luke 1:53, John 6:35, John 10:10), the poor, the captives,
To set the blind and the oppressed free (Luke 4:18-19), and to those who have lost the light
To become a light (Isaiah 9:1).
3. It is for the least of them.
Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah,
A ruler will come from you to me (Micah 5:2).
Bethlehem is a small town.
But David and Jesus were born there.
The bowl is important, but what you put in it is more important.
The little one will make a thousand, and the weak one will make a mighty nation.
In due time, the Lord will do it quickly (Isaiah 60:22).
Jesus came for the little ones.
Do not blame us for our small things, but with Jesus Christ in small things
We must be faithful (Luke 16:10).
Paul realized this truth and was faithful to death (Ephesians 3:8-9, Acts 20:24).
4. It is to show the glory of God.
“Though you are small among the clans of Judah… one who will rule over Israel”
said to come out.
The word 'chir' in 'even though it is small' does not mean small in size.
It means 'the state of being lowly and lowly'.
Because ourselves and the area we live in is as small as Bethlehem.
Rather, we can glorify God through Jesus Christ.
I hope that 2011 will end well and that God will be greatly glorified.
