Title: Jesus Exorcising Demons (Mark 05:1-20)
Contents Last time, we saw the miracle that Jesus overcame nature and storms, and today we would like to share our grace by thinking about Jesus who is exorcising demons.
Jesus went to the other side of the sea and came to the region of the Gerasenes.
There he met a man possessed by a demon.
1. Appearance of a person possessed by a demon (1-5) A person possessed by an evil spirit who came out of the grave.
He dwells in the grave, and cannot be chained - no one can control him.
He was always screaming and hurting myself.
The demon-possessed figure is more than just a disease or insanity.
Destruction of the image of God in man is a phenomenon of demon possession.
2. Conversation with demons (6-10) When they find Jesus, they run to Jesus, get down on their knees, and beg Jesus.
Demons who recognize Jesus.-You can interpret and understand the work of the Spirit as a silver spirit.
Therefore, the demon, an evil spirit, recognized Jesus and ran to him.
Demons bowing down to Jesus.-It is the appearance of bowing down to Jesus.
Demons begging Jesus.--Jesus has already told the demon to come out of the man, so the demon is crying out to Jesus and begging him.
Son of the Most High God, what have you got to do with me? I beg you, swear before God, and do not torment me. Do not send me away from this land. Send us to pigs. Those who heard it came to their senses.

1. Human Restoration - Restoration of the image of God. (15) The man who was possessed by a demon put on his clothes and sat down with a sound mind.
Previously, he was driven out by his family and people and lived in a tomb, but now he can reach out to his relatives.
2. People asking Jesus to leave the town.(17) Because something amazing happened because of Jesus and nearly 2,000 pigs died. They know that Jesus has great powers, but there are rumors that he is the Messiah, but they reject Jesus, the Messiah, because they think that it will cause great harm.
Ex) You see that when your parents teach you ㄴ ㅕ.
Faith in Jesus is found to be constrained by the idea that allegiance and devotion to Jesus, prayer, worship, and praise interfere with study and take time.
A foolish believer like the people of Gerasa.
3. Why did the herd of pigs have to die (16) The death of the herd of pigs can be interpreted as a sign of exorcism and evidence.
What if he was healthy without anything happening, maybe it's just a coincidence for some. You might have said that it could be.
However, as more than 2,000 pigs died, it became evidence that demons were cast out.
4. The attitude of a person who has restored the image of God. (18-20) Asking to be with the Lord - It is to become a disciple of Jesus.
He wants to eat, drink, and follow the Lord with his disciples.
But the Lord said to him.
Go back home and do great things for you, so that you may have compassion on yourselves, dwell in your relatives. Jesus gave him the mission of preaching the gospel, after he had been set free from the devil.
Go and tell your relatives.
He obeyed orders and went to the Decapolis to preach the gospel.
Those who have received the grace and love of the Lord and have experienced His power must testify of His grace.
Those who receive grace must repay the grace. We who have received the grace of Pharaoh are saints who repay God's grace through the preaching of the gospel.
